POE Matters

Hi Everyone,

Al though my petition has been setting at the embassy for processing and not medical or interview yet, but I wanted to think about thinks ahead so I don't struggle when it comes to that point. My question is....Does it matter which State to choose as port of entery? This question may sound funny or stupid, but I wonder if anyone could share their experience at the POE when they entered the US. The reason I ask this is that I know one of my friend didn't have a good experience. Anyone want to share their expericne?

There are so many variables that come into play at POE, it would be nearly impossible to say for certain, but the one thing that I can say for certain is if you have everything done correctly and you tell the truth, your chances will be as good as any.

I have done everything correctly and legally. The reason I asked this is some have been given hard time at the POE, so I thought to check what others experiences were?

I don't plan I booking a flight now and I don't know how it is. That is why I ask others to share their experience so I know what to expect.

Im pretty sure that this person has narrowed down which POE they will use according to the part of the country they live in. Just because the OP is asking his question doesn;t mean they have booked a flight as of yet.

Your POE can be wherever you choose. Mine was over a thousand miles away from where I was actually headed.

The op never stated that he/she knew which POE they would be entering in, they were asking for opinions and experiences.

I wanted to know, for future reference and when I get to that point, How I would pick POE because They ask what is your POE but I'm not supposed to book a flight until we have visa in hand, so how the hell do I know what my POE is going to be if I don't even have a flight yet?!?!

NEVERMIND!!!! I will post this in my own thread in a different forum as this question can not be comprehended in this thread.

I never got asked what would be my POE. Just curious, but where did you see they want to know that?The only important thing USCIS wants to know is what would be your address in the US.

No... And if they would do, you simply reply you don't know yet, because you don't have your visa in hand so you didn't book your flight yet.
