I'm popping in here for long and complicated reasons. The NOA2 from London only comes as a letter, correct?

Thanks Holly, I booked my medical for March 1st today so not long to go now! I am 25 so think I am pretty much okay although with it being on March 1st will I need the Flu vaccine?

Also having just booked the medical is it best to call them up in a few days before booking travel to ensure they got down the right day and time or is there anyway to check online?

At my hubby's appt on 4 Feb, Knightsbridge were all out of flu jabs, so he didn't have to get one. They signed off on all forms. They said it was fine since they couldn't provide the service. They said that's them all out of flu jabs till next season. So, I'd say plan to get your jab there & if they don't have any to give, then you've just saved £20 and a jab in the arm :-)

Yes, I believe so. Ours did. If you don't receive it within a reasonable time frame, you can call or email to inquire.

That is what happened, went for my medical on Thursday and all my vaccinations were up to date and they were all out of flu jabs so I didn't need one! The whole process of the medical was a lot quicker and a lot easier than I had imagined. So much so in fact that I had to wonder why it had to be at that surgery.

They said the results should be there and logged against the case on Thursday so now I plan to call on Friday and try and get an interview date arranged earlier, even if it does mean ridiculous train fare costs!!

Hello! This has been a great resource, and I've been lurking for the past few months, but I do now need some clarification!

We filed the I-130 petition at the end of December and received the notice that the petition was approved in early January; however, it was just a letter saying that it was approved and to wait. I am correct in that we now are supposed to be just waiting until they send us the case number with instructions on submitting the DS-230 and DS-2001? Do they send the case number by email or post, and if by post, I'm assuming it is to the address we put as our current address? I only ask because in the meantime between filing, I've moved to the US, and my husband's moved somewhere else for the interim.

I'm getting a bit concerned as it's been nearly three months now! We have a bit of time to buy, so it's okay, but I don't want to mess anything up...

I misread your post at first. Yes, the forms you are referring to are known as "packet 3" and you would have had them sent to whatever address is on the form for the petition. you should tell them if you've changed address. They're probably sat on a doormat somewhere.

Also, having moved to the US without your visa is unlawful. I'm not sure you should admit that in the interview.

Oh thank goodness for this thread! For someone who has been through this before, you would think I wouldn't be quite as stressed...but I am. All set to send off our I130 (well as soon as hubby signs his G-325A). I kept looking for the mailing address and was going around in circles! Will be off to the post office tomorrow to send it out

Don't worry - I'm the US citizen who has been living in the UK for the past 7 years... I filed the petition for my British husband, who is still in Scotland. I moved back here because my UK visa expired, but he's definitely not moved yet!

I did ring the embassy... they said they sent it in mid-February, but it just never arrived. He was actually still at our old address at that point (and I was back visiting that week) and he's checked back with the new occupant several times since... lost in the post must be the only explanation? At least it was processed. We should be back on track now...

Quick question- My wife (UK Citizen) has completed her medical and all paperwork is now being sent in. I expect we will receive an appointment letter in a few weeks. My wife will be travelling and we are concerned that the interview date will be when she is away. Does anyone have any experience in rescheduling an appointment date? We are hoping that the stars will align and this will not be an issue - but thought I would check to see if anyone knew about appointment dates and reschedules etc.

So we got our NOA2 back on May 13 and haven't heard anything yet from the consulate. I know they said within 5 weeks...but its 4.5 now and I'm wondering if our information has gotten lost. LOL...not that I'm impatient or anything...just a worry wart!

You haven't gotten your case number yet?

Call the embassy and find out - I never got a packet 3 after 5 weeks of waiting, so I called and got my case number, then scheduled my medical and sent in my DS forms.

Now I am waiting for an interview appointment and I still havent received packet 3 so don't wait too long unnecessarily!

The NOA2 letter I got said within 8 weeks. Where did you both read 5? Was mine different?

A couple other people on here I've been following got their next instructions about a week after their NOA2s (30th May). I was hoping mine would come this week.

Ours says....will advise the beneficiary in writing within five(5) weeks....

Hubby emails me every day from work...has the post man been yet....is there anything in there??? Fingers crossed soon!

But, I'll probably call today and get the code to email them if there is nothing today.

Okay. Yeah. Ours was different! It definitely says "within 8 (eight) weeks". Maybe they do have a bit of delay! Could be they are just anticipating the summer and that it tends to get busier.

If I don't get a letter by Monday, I'll start calling. I am obsessively checking the mail at the moment, even though I know when the postman comes.

SO I called, spoke to a lovely man who said packet 3 was sent to us on the 29th of May but nothing here. So, he gave me the case number and the link to download the next forms! Glad I called!
