Met online 2000

Stayed close friends, e-dated (we were young).

Started dating online July 2011.

First meeting in UK Aug 2011-Oct 2011

First visit to US Dec 2011-Mar 2012

Second visit to US Apr 2012-July 2012

Proposed late May, we'd been dating 'officially' for 9 months.

By the time this visa process is done with us and we finally get around to getting married, it'll be over a year — probably closer to a year and a half.

Lincoln, UK to Dallas, TX

We're twins, soulmates- we've always known each other. In this life, on this earth? About 9 months since we first met in person till our wedding.

“The minute I heard my first love story I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was.
Lovers don't finally meet somewhere.
They're in each other all along.”

Met online February 2010

Met IRL March 2010

Engaged July 2010

Married September 2011

I don't get why it's important to have been together for 4 years before marrying. I tend to keep my promises regardless of a marriage or piece of paper. My very first promise to my then-boyfriend was to return soon. I don't need to be married to stay committed and loyal to someone, or to have endured 4 years of longdistance relationship to determine that this is the real thing. 1½ years were about enough of the visiting - you don't get to settle down throughout those visits anyways however they did help to determine whether or not I could do my best and live with my husband in the US.
