The official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters, described Abu Yahya al-Libi as one of Al Qaeda’s “most experienced and versatile leaders,” and said he had “played a critical role in the group’s planning against the West, providing oversight of the external operations efforts.”

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters, did not give details about how Mr. Libi’s death had been confirmed.

We can't go too long without one of the "terrorist leaders" getting killed. Otherwise we'd forget how important the war on terror is to keeping us safe and how necessary it is to protect us here at home.

Set your clocks. Won't be but another few months and "all the hard work and dedication" will pay off again when another "senior leader" gets killed by a drone strike.

Right on time.

We can't go too long without one of the "terrorist leaders" getting killed. Otherwise we'd forget how important the war on terror is to keeping us safe and how necessary it is to protect us here at home.

Set your clocks. Won't be but another few months and "all the hard work and dedication" will pay off again when another "senior leader" gets killed by a drone strike.

One day, we might actually try capturing one of these rats and getting intel out of them. If there is a real war on terror, we need to be doing our best to finish it, not using our servicemen and women to score political brownie points.
