Scheduling the interview

Got our package 4 today and have been on canada.usvisa site trying to schedule an interview. Feel like we are in a revolving door. Selecting trip purpose of "Permantly immigrate" to US. Will not allow us to advance without a credit card payment of $240. Instructions in our Package 4 say "cash only". We can not get to available appointment dates. Any advice?

Cash isn't an option any longer you must pay online before booking interviews.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thanks. That worked. Looks like August for us. Although much available in July and still June 28th. FYI, we were surprised to get our package 4 back less than 2 weeks after submitting package 3.

That's pretty good for Montreal. I'm surprised they still have dates for next month. I guess their backlog isn't what it used to be!

There's also an option to pay at a Scotiabank branch, but it sounds like you've got this worked out.

Wow....... that's impressive. We've never received package 3 or 4. It's weird how some get them and some don't.

Packet 3 returned via DHL 5/24/2012. We were floored to get Packet 4 in e-mail 5/28/2012. We had planned on calling to bug them later this week. We have booked 8/28/2012 as our interview date. Fiancee has to close on her house in the Toronto area 7/1. There is a Christening we wish to attend in early august. After interview and K-1, the rush will be on to get married, file AOS/AP. Hoping we can accomplish that enabling us to travel back to Toronto area for the xmas holiday.

Hav you called to see if your packet has left the NVC and arrived in Montreal. We never waited on package 3. Just sent it along once we knew the case was in Montreal. I know there are alot of people on this forum that did this all on their own. I think a daunting task. We spent $2,000 on an attorney last fall. That fixed fee takes thru all K-1 activity and AOS/AP/EAD. They have been great and made the process relatively painless. It's a hit in the pocket, but I will consider it the best $2k I ever spent. They are out of NY and do nothing but K-1 and rerlated work.

Oh yes, I've been reading this forum for a while and knew not to expect it. I spoke with NVC and never waited on package 3 to arrive. Once they told me it had been sent, we gathered up what we needed and sent it off via Canada Post Expedited.

My daughter had her physical in Toronto this past tuesday and her interview in Montreal is scheduled June 26.

It is a daunting task, but I'm doing it for my daughter and future SIL, to save them money. They are looking to buy a house and I'd rather they use the money on a downpayment than paying a lawyer.

This forum has been invaluable to me, through this whole process. I will be helping them with the AOS/AP/EAD as well. LOL, I'm a very "detail oriented" person, so this stuff is right up my alley

Called the DOS today and they said Packet 4 was logged as emailed so even though Jay hasn't gotten the email we made our interview appt. Apparently a lot of those open dates were gobbled up because 7/24 was the earliest we could schedule. Gonna watch like a hawk in hopes of moving it forward but it's not looking so great.

That is encouraging news. :)

Can you pay by debit online if you have a scotiabank account?
