5 months and still waiting

It's been 5 months since my NOA1 and still haven't heard anything from VSC. Anyone else on the same boat? Any January 2012 filers still waiting?

I found some timelines from February 2012 that were already approved at VSC. Don't they go in order they receive the file???

We waited almost 6 months for ours...

We were at the CA service center though, but still. I know it's frustrating, but as soon as the NVC receives your case, it FLIES!

No they don't go in order.

All files are put in boxes and everyone gets a different box,some work fast and some work slow, some cases are quick to finish being checked others take longer to check.

We filed January 26, 2012 and got our NOA2 on May 31, 2012. So, just over 4 months. However, the good news is the timeline said 5 months on the USCIS website for Vermont and we were obviously approved earlier than expected. Of course, we filed for a K-1 visa - not a IR-1/CR-1 - which is backed up just a little more than the K-1's. Don't worry! I suspect that you'll receive it very shortly.

Currently they are approving mid-January applicants in Vermont when it comes to your type of visa...

Expect it any day now!

Be a little more patient,it's coming!! CR-1 took us 6 months and 10 days!!

It's pretty annoying. I feel like they should grant our loved ones entry just based on the fact that we're willing to wait more than 5 months.

Yesterday was 5 months on the dot. I called USCIS and wrote to my senator. I want them to know I'm not fooling around waiting for the red tape to be scraped up. Next week, I think I'll start calling every few days just to "remind" them.

Always remember that your hands are under the stone. If you hit the stone, you will hurt yourself So be polite rather than aggressive with your words when you talk to the officer on phone.

Hm... that's a good way pf putting it (or as my mother says more flies with honey rather than vinegar). I know you have to be polite with these people. But, that won't stop me from being firm.
