I feel that 5,000 dollars is not a big number, especially when you compare it to pharmacists salaries.

why not offer to pay the company's lawyers? maybe they might nudge a bit for you.

01/20/12 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox.

01/26/12 - NOA1 received and processing at Vermont.

06/28/12 - NOA2 announced on status check.

06/29/12 - NVC received case learned on 07/2/12.

06/30/12 - Hard copy NOA2 received.

07/09/12 - NVC Casefile Number and IIN Issued.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

07/17/12 - Mailed DS-3032 via mail, AOS bill received via email, paid online, Optin email sent.

07/18/12 - Optin accepted and new case number, AOS marked paid, emailed AOS packet.

07/24/12 - Assigned as Agent, IV Fee bill received via email, paid online.

07/25/12 - IV Fee marked paid, emailed IV packet.

07/31/12 - Emailed GZO Supplemental Packet 3.

08/02/12 - Case completed and commenced final review.

08/03/12 - Shipped all copies of forms/letters/documents to my wife - arriving on 8/9/12.

08/06/12 - Case completed final review.

08/09/12 - Appointment letter received via email interview date set 9/6/12.

08/14/12 - Medical exam done.

08/15/12 - Medical exam results all normal.

09/06/12 - Submitted required documents at the embassy and interview set next day at 0730.

05/16/13 - Arrived at GUZ and impromptu notice on the front it was closed.

I still say focus on OPT to begin with. You can apply as you normally would without the big elephant in the room. An employer is more likely to be willing to sponsor an H-1b if you've already worked

do you think that the info. in this site MyVisa jobs is true? because I called CVS many times, managers and recruiters they told me it's in their policy not to sponsor pharmacists, but the reports at this site, reveals that they are sponsoring! do you think this site has accurate info.?

Cost of the application is not the only factor, other factor is companies have to prove that they are not able to find ppl with same skill set who are USC or resident.

I have known instances where USCIS was sending the employer resume with similar skill set who were USC or Resident asking employer why these guys would not be good fit.

Also USCIS had started limiting the number of years they would give on H1, earlier it was a standard practice that first time applicant would get a 3 yr visa and than 3 more 1 year extension.

Lately I have even seen the case within my company (major MNC) they only give like 1 year visa for first time applicant.

I'm still convinced that I'm in a good major! people is U.S need licensed pharmacists a lot, there are places where U.S pharmacists don't like to work, may be because it's rural or unsafe. The pharmacist who offered me a job was in desperate need, she has a surgery and can't take care of the pharmacy, and guess what, her technicians is doing that, which is against the law! but you know this is the biggest problem! some pharmacists work against the law and let the technicians take care of the prescriptions and the patients, so they keep hiring more technicians which will cost them less than hiring one pharmacists.

You have to hurry, because today May 05,2012 there are just 9.400 visa cap numbers available(H1b visa).I believe in 10 days the H1B cap will be reached and you won't be able to submit your application for H1B, and you will have to wait until next April 01 to start all over again.Between 2001 and 2008 CVS applied to sponsor 3,590 H1b pharmacists just 15 were denied,Rite-Aid 3,448 just 33 denied. Good luck.

Often know as notarios in Latino communities.
