I have my W2 and tax return filed from last year with my previous employer. That's covered.

My question is do I need to show proof from my present employer that I am presently employed with a new company or does the embasy take my word for it as listed on my 864EZ under conditions of perjury? In other words will they need proof from my new job that I work there?

Ask your current employer for a letter of employment, stating your start date, rate of pay and hours worked weekly. Also keep copies of your pay stubs. The embassy will need proof of ability to provide and these will show that you currently work and have an income. They will not just take your word for it.

I'm not in the Philippines but the best practice is to show evidence of current income. That can be an employer letter or a current pay stub. Don't expect them to simply take your word for it.

NVC is not our buddies. They don't trust on words. Just provide an evidence from your employer stating that you have started working for them from a particular date and still working for them as of today.

My recommendation is to use IRS Transcript for your previous years tax instead of sending W2 forms with tax return copy.

This isn't a Philippines specific question. You're sending your I-864 to the NVC in the U.S., not just to the embassy in Manila, and the NVC does require confirmation of current employment for people with new jobs. So do all the embassies around the world.
