K-1 Denial?

I submitted my K-1 in July of this year. My fiance and I did not physically meet until September of this year.

that disqualified our petition as we did not satisfy the criteria prior to filing the petition. My question is: According to the limitations column on the petition it does not state any restrictions on applying a second time. Is this true? Now that my fiance and I have met, we would like to reapply.

thanks.

Why on earth would you file for a prtition for someone you have never met.... how do you know you want to spend your life with this person?

Yes you can file again....

Kezzie

We have known each other for a long while ... have spoken to each other each day throughout ... and share mutual friends. We discovered we both were very compatible, we wanted the same things, and we were attracted to each other. There are many other reasons that I won't exhaust you with.

Thanks for your reply.

You can apply again but you have the extra burden explaining why you are doing it. I am doing the same thing and the Embassy and my immigration lawyer both said I had to be very clear explaining why the second application was needed. In the I129-f application, question 11 asks if you have ever submitted another application. Attach another sheet for the answer explaining all your reasons and supporting evidence and be as convincing as possible. Best of luck!!

The new IMBRA numerical limitations for filing K-1 only apply to approved petitions. File away.
