It has been a while since I posted here. I have a question. My fiance is asking me to get my mother to write a letter inviting her and welcoming her into the family as my future wife. Does anyone know anything about this and what kinds of information should be in the letter? I told her it wasn't necessary to do this but she is insisting that this could be the key factor to her getting a visa. I decided it couldn't hurt and just might be helpful. Gotta clue?

The text would be up to your Mother but I also see no harm.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

this is not known, for a fiance visa.

do you investigate , where yer lass gets her advice?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

We invited my sister in law, i stated her length of stay, I would support her while she was here etc. It is up to the person applying to show strong ties to return to China to get the visa good luck. Sister in law's visa took about 3 weeks.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Darnell,

When we do this it will be for a spouse visa. The info came from the unreliable site 001.

I just wanted other opinions and some kind of a guide if anyone had done this before.

Is she talking about an affidavit from your mother, stating a true and bona fide relation or ongoing relation?

I guess I'll have to ask her. We were turned down for a fiance visa saying it was a non-bona fide relationship.

So she has met your Mother?
