will this be a problem getting back in the USA? I have my expired green card with me. I've been told its all in their computers so not to worry, and I've been told I will be stuck out if I don't have it. I leave brazil in a week. let me know if you know anything, k thanks bye

I guess I didn't say previously.. I LOST THE EXTERNSION LETTER. although I don't remember it saying the letter was required to travel?

You may run into an issue at the airport leaving brazil.

I would go to the US embassy and explain your situation.

I believe they can help provide you with emergency travel documentation.

What USCIS representative told you not to worry because it is all in the computer?

Without the letter you could have a problem boarding the plane and/or at US Customs.

Go to the nearest US embassy/consulate to obtain the needed documentation.
