Hi Everyone!

I'm just wondering if there is a kind person out there that could help me write a letter in Spanish. It's been a while since I lived there and I'm struggling a bit!

The background details are; My fiance has applied for the K1 visa and as I lived in Spain (Tenerife) for a few years I had to apply for the Spanish police check. I received it back, but they have spelt my middle name wrong, so I was going to send it back and ask if they could change it. Since applying for it a month ago, I have renewed my passport and I was going to also ask if I included a photocopy of my new passport, if they could change the passport number on it too? I'm not sure if I need to do this, as I have my old passport to take to the interview aswell.

Here's what I have so far, I've written it in English, then Spanish underneath. Any help is much appreiciated!

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have received my police certificate, but you have spelt my middle name wrong. It should be Elizabeth not Elizabethy. I have included a photocopy of the certificate and highlighted where it needs to be changed. I hope you can change this.

Also since applying for the certificate I have had to renew my passport. I was wondering if it was possible to have my new passport number on the certificate? I have inclosed a photocopy of that also. If not, it's not a problem.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

Yours sincerely,

(My name)

Hello Emma25,

I hope this works out for you, To be honest I'm not a Translator of any sorts

but I've been speaking the Spanish language for 37 years and English for about 32 of them.

Good luck, in your new journey!

Thank you so much Carlos! I could speak Spanish (well canarian which is a bit different to Spanish), but never had to write any letters. I was struggling! I see I got some bits right. I just wasn't sure if it would read okay to a spanish person. It doesn't have to be perfect, they know I'm English, as long as they can understand it. Thanks again for your help!
