After interview case transfered from chennai to Mumbai

Hi Everyone,

I had IR1 interview on 27 dec 2011 and got approved from the VO, But she put my case in AP for 4 to 6 weeks.After 4 months on April 3 2012. I recieved a letter from chennai US consulate that my case Has been transfered to Mumbai US consulate as chennai US consualte dont have authority to issue immigrant visa from 1 Jan 2012.

Now when i require from US consulate Mumbai by email they dont reply at all.so i called the DOS and spoked to a kind lady and she told me that my case got tranfered to mumbai from chennai But she told me that mumbai didn't recieve yet so i dont understant what's going on with my case?got transfered on 3april2011 but still mumbai didn't recieve it.if anyone case is similar pls do comment.dam its 24 weeks nearly 6 months.

hi,i also had my interview in chennai in oct 2011,like same she also told me to wait for 4 to 6 weeks.In april have called DOS i got to know that my case got transfered from chennai to mumbai on 3 april and said that they have also send my passport back,very next day i have marked an email to mumbai VFs after 1 week i got an reply saying that ur case is pending for new medical reports and passport.So i have send my new medical and passport on 23 of may 2012,now waiting for my visa.u should call mumbai consulate not vfs tell them that wats going on with my case.

thanks for ur reply i tried to call mumbai usconsulate but they say contact vfs.did u speak consulate mumbai directly pls let me know.

my father called both mumbai and chennai consulate not for getting case status just to know where my passport was, so they told that ur son's ppt is in chennai consulate becz of some prob they have not send my ppt on april 3 2012 my father told them to send my ppt for having new medical thats it.

did u get any email from vfs regarding medical.then i think that help u.

any way when did u had ur interview at chennai and which category.

our case also got transferred to mumbai from the chennai consulate...but we are unable to get a new medical since we do not have a letter from the consulate saying to do so....what do we need to take to the doctor to get a new medical?
