Hello VJ Friends,

please help me to understand something.

The form I-129F for K1 / part B ,line 13 says: list all children of your fiance(e).

The application DS-230 Part 1 line 19 says : List Names Dates and Places of Birth , and Adresses of ALL Children''

Well, my '' children'' are 29/30 years old. They are on their own, have own life, condos ect and not leaving country.

Shall we list them or not ? I appreciate your help and quick reply

ds-230 not for K1 it is for spousal so you don't need to fill up ds-230 and on i-129f you have choice either you put them or not, if her kids are below 21 then they can be her k2 and if you mention them on i-129f it will be easy for them to process the k2, if not it is ok also once your fiancee decide to get them there's another process for that.

Thank you Friends, I appreciate your help and suggestions..

Well, what a pity, we didn't know Vj at the time of sending pettition. Now is to late.. we

havent'n listed ''childeren'' in I-129F as the immigration law defines a ''child'' as an unmarried person under the age of 21.. In DS 230 part 1 they ask again about ALL children, so now I will list them of course, but it will be discrepancy- result? Next RFE or even worst.. Oh God!!

Any way thank you ALL for trying to help us. :):)

There are consulates that DO require K1s to fill out at least the first part of the DS-230. So please be careful when you give advice like this, as a lot of it is country specific.

ok, but NOT in the Philippines and usually they only ask you to fill it up on the day of the interview. so yes it depends on the country not the CO. so i only based it on my country and i am sure of what i said and i based it here. and sorry for that.

This is not true, please don't post if you don't know. US Consulate in Warsaw requires K-1 applicants to fill out DS-230 Part 1.

In Item 29 of that form you should to list ALL your children, no matter what their age and if they immigrate with you or not.

But if the children are not immigrating with you, do not list them in Items 31a or 31b, when asked who will accompany you to the US.

ok i thought i clarify my self, you didn't read i guess, and oh please don't tell me not to post if i don't know ok? i thought this is a place to help each other, i already said sorry because i based it on my country. do you have to be that rude to correct someone? i tried to help, and i would take it as an additional to my knowledge if someone tell me that not ALL countries are the same. i was so sure with my answer because i based it in my country and i am so sure k1 here don't need ds-230. so now i know not all countries applies the same rules. so i am happy to know that and can share it with someone who will ask again, but please be nice to your words because even you, you don't even now the rules here as i don't know the rules at your country. thanks
