Early walkin Bio definitely worth doing saved me at least a few weeks,appointment set for aug 30,2012 all I have left is approval hope everyone gets theres early too

Thanks a lot. So pretty much the early walk-in didn't really matter huh? My husband tried walking in (10 days before actual appointment date) but was denied so he just waited for today (appointment date). Hope he receives it soon. I've noticed from other people's timeline that some have received their work permit 2 weeks after doing the biometrics.

My EAD and AP have got approved today! A month exactly after the biometrics.

In fact, I got an email saying Card production ordered for the EAD, and another email then saying my AP was approved. It's a little confusing but as EAD/AP should be a combo card, I don't worry about it. :)

Wow! So jealous of you right now. Was looking at your timeline and the early walk-in did fasten the process. As for my husband and I, hubby tried walking in 10 days before actual appointment at the Downtown LA ASC but was denied.

Now, it's been 2 weeks since his biometrics and we haven't gotten nothing. Only good thing about it so far is no RFE.

AP still says initial review though... weird cuz I thought EAD and AP came in a combo card... maybe they just didn't update it yet! but I'm so thrilled about EAD approval!!!!

The updates are kind of weird and not 100% reliable but that will be a combo-card, yes. :)
