@didopage--Thank you for tip about bringing marriage certificate to biometrics or ID with new name. Unfortunately, marriage certificate only has maiden name shown and (therefore???) been having difficulties getting any documentation/anything in new married name. --RK and Inday

Your new name is not written at the bottom? Bring it anyway, it doesn't hurt to have it with you.

Correct--apparently some states [including one we were married in] don't have new name, only name before marriage for both groom and bride. It is making a number of tings difficult for us already! And, yes, even so, will definitely take to Biometrics appointment, anyway!! RK&Inday

Lets stay positive.

I called yesterday because it's been over 30 days and they opened a request. Supposedly I will hear from then in 15 days... ;(

Just got an email saying my case got transferred! They didn't say where to though... just that it got transferred to another office and I'll receive a letter in the mail about that!

Don't know if it's good or bad cuz I heard that cases that got transferred are taking forever! Guess I'll have to wait and see!

does it make a difference if you do your biometrics earlier than the date it says on the letter?? I see a lot of ppl walking in and doing it earlier... does it makes your process any faster?
