I am a US citizen and I applied the I 130 for my husband who live in Jordan, and I just pass 8 months and the immigration still processing my I 130 application (still in the initial review) and my question is: what is immigration doing during this processes that it takes so long? is it a research in my background or investigate somersetting or they working , what they are gathering that taking so long?

have you tried calling them??? 8 months is past the regular processing times, many VJ'rs have gotten their congress man/woman involved once its past the processing times. best of luck :thumbs:

you asked this question last week. You should contact USCIS. Same question, same answers. Good luck :)

My wife contact them and they say we will contact you soon and they did no did and she also made a service request, and I really don't know what to do

Tell ur wife she needs to get her congressman or woman involved immediately. She needs to call and email tomorrow about your case when she filed your I-797C receipt number so you can get some answers.

When she requested a service request did she demand to speak to a Tier 2 manager? This all needs to be done tomorrow.
