Hello Everyone! I have a question, I have a friend who just got married, didn't file for AOS yet, they moved to California from Washington two weeks ago...now the main problem is the wife wants to live separately for now because of work and personal issues. They tried to work things out but the husband needs help with his behavior. She's thinking He can easily find a job at Washington and he has all the family back there to support and guide him. He will also go back to school there. But She wants to stay and live in CA.They both still love each other and agreed to the decision. How is that gonna affect when they're filing the AOS? I wanna help both of them and I need your opinion on this matter....please help us.Thank you so much!!

i think 2 weeks is not enough time to make a change and gauge a change, irrespective of where the move was to and what the problems are (unless there's physical violence involved and if that's the case there's no need to stay together or file for aos) .

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

They have to prove an ongoing relationship, not just an online relationship such as skyping, emailing and phone calls, but visiting each other often and demonstrating their intent to live together soon.I saw several cases like their case, but the couples proved they were living apart for reasons beyond their control and they showed their effort to live together asap. I don't think is your friend intent tho.

Just wondering, why did she wait until they moved to CA to decide she didn't want to live with him? How long has she been in the country? When exactly did they get married, why did they move to CA before filing for AOS, surely they should have stayed put, got jobs and filed AOS asap?!

A move is always a difficult time and to decide in that time that she doesn't want to be with him seems really fishy to me, sorry just how I feel.
