The other issue is that the USCIS is gov't funded, thereby taxpayer funded. The majority of American taxpayers will never have to deal with the USCIS so it would be unfair to a majority of American taxpayers to pump in tons more money into getting petitions approved faster.

I do think there should be a way to get faster processing through paying a bunch in extra fees though. I'd take $4,000 any day for less wait.

Well, you hit the nail on the head...the taxpayers have no need to subsidize visa applications for others...and maybe Congress will raise the fee to $4000 or $5000...for expedited processing! Why not? If whiners want faster processing, well, who is going to pay for it? Not me!

It is what it is. Obviously it's frustrating and would be nice if it could be faster but the US just cannot deal with that many immigrants at one time for all sorts of reasons - financial, administrative, just the sheer influx, etc. As such, they are prioritized and USCs, as Americans living in America, get priority. (Though, to be quite honest, I wouldn't mind if the minor children of LPR and parents of USC categories were swapped so LPRs could have their kids with them immediately and USCs could wait a few years to bring their adult parents! Never going to happen, though.)

Maybe Immigration people are behaving like our charge card,AT&T,Cable and so many service providers. On phone calls we must choose so many numbers, wait and wait for a real person or be constantly be told we should just be on their web page. I honestly believe they just want us to give up and go away.

regardless of automation, there are still caps per country per year for these visa types. I don't see the caps being raised anytime soon, alas.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I accept all ur views n higly respect ur point of view. But guyz we are living in 21st century and USA is very developed country. It has made progress in every step of life.so y not at this immigratin procedure??

They have all records and computerized systemthey have info abt every person and even when u apply for process they ask every thing abt u like ur family, education and every thing. We also submitted all documents nothing hide from them..

Then y they work so slow??

I mean its so cheap that we have to wait for our pd to be current and for visa for many years in this fastest era!!!

You know.. you don't have to STAY if you don't like it. You came here, you agreed to abide by it's laws and procedures, including immigration. You may not like those laws, but they are the law until they get changed. Go whine elsewhere.. i can recommend a nice cheese.

Maham... I think what you are in hopes of is more efficiency from a government agency.... I don't work for uscis but I do work for a government agency. many things we are not aware of happen behind the scene for example protocals and procedures that need to be met, and also there are multiple different types of cases with various complexity that each agent could be dealing with. I don't know if you are aware of the budget cuts that many agencies are going through and restrictions on hiring new resources. Anyways hang in there! Also check out the updates I saw a post by Uscis of a backlog and additional wait time of acknowledgment of I129F Applicants! About 4 to 6 more weeks.

It will not change until funding is different and their is a good mechanism to fight fraud. Even with all their double checking you still see them on VJ either trying to scam the system or a horror story of an honest USC who was scammed. Look on the other side at all the approvals, work, religion, family etc. The work load of USCIS never changes no matter how many leave their desk more are left, probably depressing and oppressing having their work load.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Our Congress mandated certain limits for visas for those who are not relatives of USCs....and that's the way it is, whether you like it or not. Is your native country in the 21st century? Is paperwork processed at a 'blistering pace' there? I sincerely doubt it. But if you are so unhappy, to the point of saying 'America sucks', I suggest you pack your bags and return to wherever it is you came from, because those of us who are American citizens do not appreciate attitudes such as yours.

and this might work....if the application fee was raised to about $5000. All those things you want cost time and money.

Look up the word ' limited ' in the dictionary.

I would pay that if it meant a fully expedited process.

The bulk of USCIS funding comes from the fees they charge and not from taxes. It would be unfair for taxpayers to have to foot any of the expenses for family or employment immigration. USCIS calculates the prorated costs for these types of petitions, and uses the data to set the fees.
