i think i would need more info to really answer this as truthfully as i could...

if there were a situation that was serious enough to even think of ending our marriage, then i would definitely not make the decision on my own and just sacrifice it because i felt it was best... there is another person in our marriage... and part of loving him is respecting him as well... so, i couldnt make the decision for him... it wouldnt be fair to him

if there were a situation that was that serious, we discussed it, and then i felt strongly that sacrificing my happiness for his, well, i would... his happiness is more important than my wants... but, i will say, i can not imagine anything that would be so serious that i would ever leave his side...

Well, I know that you are married, so I wouldn't expect that most married people would sacrifice their relationship when something of magnitude came up. My question was really directed at people who are not married yet. But I do see that some married people voted so the results are more interesting than I thought they would be.

My thoughts when putting together this poll was actually inspired by a woman that I know who made such a sacrifice for her children; but that type of poll would cause a firestorm.

So I was wondering whether anyone would sacrifice a realtionship for someone they were not married to yet.

BTW I don't have children in case anyone is speculating that I'm talking about myself.

yes I would do whatever I could to bless my wife Melinda, that includes letting her go back to the Philippines if she was not happy here with me. I don't own her and she is not my slave, she is my wife and friend. Her needs always come before my own.
