Hello everyone,

I filed my AOS on March 8th, and I have been waiting for my EAD for 86 days.

I have not gotten RFE.

How many of you had to wait more than 90 days to get your EAD?

I know it could take 90 days, but a lot of people who filed AOS later than me already at least got EAD and even an interview.

Thus, I was wondering if this is a bad sign or something about my GC.

If nothing happens in 4 days, I am going to call USCIS.

If you had to wait for more than 90 days to get your EAD and had to call USCIS, please share your experience.

Thank you so much for your time,

Once you have waited 90 days, at that point you can call and ask for it to be expedited and should be done in a couple days.

I would expect it to be approved in the next few days.

You should fill out more of your information - that way we know where you are filing at - that likely has a lot to do with the slow process for you.

Thank you so much for your comment. I hope my EAD gets approved soon.

BTW, congrats on you GC. I read your postsbiggrin.gif

I updated my local office information.

I did not know it matters where I filed at because the national benefits center is the one who works on EAD.

I guess the speed depends on where you filed at, right? Thank you for your information.

Thank you for your comment.

I also signed up the e-mail notification. I have not gotten any e-mail telling me my EAD is in production.

I definitely call them if nothing occurs in 4 days.

It's just a theory, but I think they slow it down if your whole process is going to be delayed because of a busy local center.

Another theory floating around is that they are devoting a lot of time to those filing for citizenship for the upcoming election...

Just theories of course - it could just be a general back log because of staff taking vacations more over the last few months vs. other times or something as simple as that...

At least at this point you can be sure that it is coming soon.

I hear you, I filed my AOS/EAD/AP on March 30, 2012. Had my biometrics on May 1, 2012 and nothing has been done with mine either. People who have sent in their petitions in April have already been approved and have received their EAD/AP cards. Very disheartening sitting here day in and day out waiting for an email/text message that it has been approved while people who filed after me in April have already been approved, received their cards and are now working. 66 days and counting now for me. :(

Hi! i had to wait for mine for 4 months. I went for 2 biometrics, but didn't get a work permit after 3 months. I called USCIS lots of times, they sent me all those e-mails saying that my case was being processed etc. I got tired of that and got an info-pass appointment. Turned out my case was closed, but they were still telling me on the phone that it was being processed (don't trust their on-line service where u can check the status of your applications). They closed it because I "abandoned" it(even though i called several times a week, placed SRs). They made a big mistake (it delayed getting my green card by 2,5 months). So you'd better get an info-pass app-t just to be on the safe side!

Good luck!
