Many people have gotten a letter of cancellation, not showed up and then got denied on basis of not showing up for the interview.

Better to go, get marked down that you were there and get sent home, than to NOT go and have them pull one over on you and say you never showed up, you're denied!

Right?

:wow: I wasn't saying what you're doing makes no sense, i was saying it doesn't make sense for them to deny someone after they cancelled the interview themselves... they make no sense, not you... please read carefully what I was replying to before you get your panties in a bunch.

Just FYI, I got three letters for the interview. First one was a interview schedule. Second letter canceled that schedule, so I didn't show up for the interview. About 2 weeks later, I got the third letter, which is a new schedule for the interview. I went to this one and it went smoothly.

Therefore, I don't think it matters whether you go to the canceled interview or not. You are going to get a new scheduled anyway and being interviewed accordingly.

That's nice for you. However there are multiple posts with 2 letters. 1st rescheduling 2nd denying for not attending first interview. Of course in most of these cases people were able to get their cases reopened for incorrect denial but it added several months of waiting and stress to the process.

There's also 2 posts in one week a month or so ago where people had medical emergencies and couldn't attend, called and rescheduled and given receipt numbers, then sent a denial letter. Then had to go through mess to get that fixed.

Moral of the story ALWAYS attend if you can otherwise be prepared for denial and cleaning the mess.
