-i did turn in form g-1145 for electronic notification, they must have forgotten? perhaps delayed? or should i not worry about it since i'm already approved.

yup approved, took about 5 days before I actually got the actual NOA2and 2-3 weeks before the case was loaded into the NVC system to get our Case # and Invoice ID

G-1145 is only good for when the file is received at intake. The only way to get electronic updates after submitting the file is to create an account on the USCIS website. Since your file has been approved, its a moot point now.

The NVC will schedule the interview based on the dates the Embassy says is available.
