Im a PR, got my GC in Oct 2005. I applied for re entry permit before i went home in Oct 2006, I stayed for 1.5yrs in my home country to finish my school. I came back to US in April 2009. I have never taken trips outside US longer than six months after that. I just want to get this right. Can I apply for ctizenship on feb 2013? Thanks for any info.

Once you have been out for more than a year with a re entry permit you get to count the last year of your travels and the time since you came back but not the remining time before that. Your dats are confusing 2006 to 2009 is not 1.5 years. Assuming 2009 was when you came back you can start your clock 12 months before that 20008 + 5 = 2013

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
