service request response

So I made a service request last Wednesday (5/23/12).

I called the NCSC number after not hearing anything from VSC

regarding my RFE (it has been a month at the time since they received my RFE).

I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask and expected an answer of "wait full 60 days then call".

The customer service rep was very nice and helpful and did a

service request for me since I been waiting for 6 months overall since USCIS received my I129F.

Also gave me a reference number and told me to call again if I don't hear anything for 15 days.

It has been 9 days so far and have not heard anything from VSC. I'm just bit worried

because I noticed others receiving service request response within a week.

Should I expect service request response by next week?

The process is taking it's toll on me and my fiancee...

It has become quite the emotional stress...

Hmmm.... you were told 9 days ago to call again in 15 days if you don't hear anything, is that correct? I would suspect that you may hear something next week. Though it is hard to say because there was a national holiday in the intervening days, that may delay a response.

I am not certain about others, but the entire process has not been a walk-in-the-park for us either. It has helped us to remember that this whole process is a marathon, not a sprint. Hang in there, hopefully it will get better for you.

Good luck on your visa journey,

Thank you,

I know the I129F NOA2 is not the end of the journey but it would be a big relief for now.

This is what we did -

25th Apr Our 5 months was up.

10th May Called and raised service request, told to wait 15 days and call back. (got no confirmation or response at all)

25th May Called back, told to email vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov wait 21 days for reply then to email SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov then wait further 10 days before calling on the phone again.

30th May case status checked, changed to PDA

I'm not sure if calling made any difference or not, there is no way to tell.

I would say get dialling after the 15th day.

Good luck.
