here is our situation:

My fiance is in Uzbekistan. Several years ago she graduated from nursing school and worked at a military academy. She had a desire to join the military and the government had placed a stamp in her passport that she was military.

Now, she never enlisted or did any training. She says that because she has this stamp and because she is a nurse that if Uzbekistan went to war they would call her to service.

Well the other day she went to update her passport in preparation for her consulate interview. I told her to see if it is at all possible to remove stamp. No way they told her and her friend who was in the same situation she was in.

Now I wonder if the Consulate is going to cause problems over this? We did list on the forms that she worked as a nurse at the military academy. I told her to answer all questions they ask about the matter as clearly as she can and be totally honest because she has nothing to hide.

Anyone else have to deal with this?
