I am all for forced sterilization and deciding who can and cannot reproduce. We have the technology. It doesn't have to be a crapshoot anymore. Screen everybody before they reach puberty, and if they don't meet the standard, you don't get to breed. Go to jail, collect welfare, fail to support your children, don't finish school in the top ten percent of your class, et cetera, your capacity to reproduce is removed. If folks want to screw like rabbits and sit at home watching Oprah eating potato chips like farm animals, you get the farm treatment, change some folks' minds from screwing to mooing.

I was with this guy until about here......i'm now distancing myself lol

I thought we were engaged in a serious debate regarding getting permission (permits) for certain things? Ok, I needed a good laugh -- so I value your post for the humor, however, no way are you serious. :star:

There already exist solutions to all you mentioned. Kill the welfare state, period! But, if there must be a welfare system -- they can collect trash for Caltrans alongside the highways.

You need a license to breed animals, why not humans? I mean, do you really think just anybody should be allowed to breed?

You posed that ? to a guy that believes in individual liberty? Folks might breed a lot less if they had to pay for the results of that 2 minutes of fun and if we as a nation emphasized personal responsibility.

I get your point, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should -- I've seen parents that should not have children.

I'm in firm agreement with the above. Anyone on public assistance should be banned from procreating and everyone else should be licensed by the state and permitted to have X number of offspring based on their ability to care for said offspring. Everyone else should be sterilized and/or all pregnancies should be aborted immediately upon discovery.

I mean, if we're going to ban sugary drinks....

It's relevant only because of the asinine statement you made, as quoted. So I pointed out a case to illustrate the ignorance or naivety of your statement. Relevant because you don't have to be "doing something wrong," that leads to fines, etc, and yes, because the EPA was involved and it illustrates again an overreach in authority and held themselves above the law. Be it aerial surveillance done with no authority or the referenced case -- EPA overstepped its authority.

You have not provided any proof that the EPA has overreached. You have only provided your opinion and the opinion of other people who have no legal authority to decide whether the EPAoverreached.

There is no proof that the EPA overreached by doing aerial surveillance. Unless the airplane flew under 500 ft. from the feedlots it was surveilling, no laws were violated. The airspace 500 ft. above ground is public domain. Taking pictures from the air is no more illegal than taking pictures from the street since other law enforcement agencies are allowed to take pictures in conducting their surveillance without having to get search warrants.

The Supreme Court case you cited regarding the Sacketts and the EPA only ruled that the Sacketts could challenge the EPA's compliance order in court. On page 2 of the opinion the court states: "Today we consider only whether the dispute may be brought to court by challenging the compliance order—we do not resolve the dispute on the merits." The issue of whether the Sacketts have violated the Clean Water Act will now be considered by the lower courts. Again your opinion that the EPA overreached is not supported by the facts.
