My husband came to the states on a K1 visa in '07 and received his Green Card in '08 for 10yrs with no restrictions. Has any one else had this happen? I am not complaining of course but I still find it very odd and worry sometimes that there was a mistake and someone is going to figure it out and then there will be trouble :)

Dec-23-06: Elizabeth mails 129f to TSC

Jan-03-07: NOA1 snail mail from CSC

Mar-29-07: NOA2!!!

May-07-07: Mauricio picks up Packet 3 at Embassy in Managua

May-21-07: interview-Paper missing :(

May-29-07: at embassy again with missing paper - APPROVED!!!

Jun-01-07: pick up visa at embassy

Jun-03-07: ARRIVED HOME WITH MY BABY AT LAST!!!

Jun-30-07: wedding

AOS & EAD:

Jul-27-07: mailed AOS & EAD, USPS nextday

Jul-28-07: received at Chicago lockbox

It has been over 4 years since he got the card.

Did you realize you had to file to remove conditions in 21-24 months after he got the card?

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

It has been over 4 years since he got the card.

Did you realize you had to file to remove conditions in 21-24 months after he got the card?

His card clearly stats that it expires in 2018.

All our friend'd cards had 2 year expiration dates, his had a 10 yr date

Unless you were married 2 years at the time of his entry he is ( was) required to submit removal of conditions before the 2nd aniversary of the GC. Their mistake in the 10 year expiration doesn't relieive your husband of the requirement. Make an info pass appointment now ( with ROC papers ready ) before he ends up accidently on a deportation list.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
