cancelling K1 - How?

Hi,

I have a simple question. My fiancé and I decided to move to Austria after the wedding. The K1 Visa is in process already though. I don't want any problems with the government later. This is why we want to cancel the whole process and not just do nothing.

Does anybody know how this works. I read in a german forum, that a simple letter would be enough. What should it say?

Thank you so much!

The petitioner sends a letter requesting cancellation of the petition. You can also call USCIS but they will likely tell you to send a letter.

You just simply request them to remove the petition because you are canceling it and no longer wish to follow the K-1 petition through.

Send a notarized letter to the service center that is currently processing your case(Vermont or California) letting them know you wish to withdrawal the I-129F petition.
