hello to all,

good day!!i just wanted to ask if you know what to do on my another problem here...when i had my u.s visa(tourist) my birthdate there was 1973..i got married when im not yet 18 years old..so what they did is they file another birthcertificate to make me older..my real birth date is 1977...when we apply for a us tourist visa last 2001 i used the birthdate 1973 coz thats what ive been using since i got married...

then last 2004 me and my husband seperated and i filed for a annulment here in pi....its been approve last year and the ground is i was still under age when i got married.i proved that by showing them my real birth certificate...now i am married to my american husband and im using my real birth date when he filed a petition to me...im just confused and very worried now for the consul might ask question of the different birthdate im using and i used before...well,i just also wanna add that the visa i had before has been cancelled the last time i visited in the states last 2004...i never over stayed in all my visits...all i know is that the immigration officer kept on asking if im working there and i said i did not work there..and thats it,they brought me back home the next flight they got in there...guys i hope you can help me with my problem...do you think showing the annulment paper that explains why i used different birthdate will atleast convince the consul that i did not wanted to do that in purpose??please guys help me on this....god bless to everybody and good luck to all of us... :D

Dear Shella,

If I were you,you should go to DFA and change your passport using your original birth cert. but if you can go to a lawyer to do it for you,it will be less time in processing. You will have to spend to correct your mistake but it will be worth it.I had mine corrected too and it took 2 mos.You need a new passport later on because you need to send along with the petition.Hope this helps.
