Jackie, it might take a couple of years to recover from all the nonsense you went through the last few years but you will. And when you do, it will be with a better set of memories than what you are left with right now. Right now you are rebuilding your life with your daughter who really needs you and in so many ways, if you still had the other people in your life that sucked you dry, you might not have enough of yourself left for your daughter and granddaughter

As hard as it is to admit this because I am living it as well, sometimes things have to be far away and long away from us to be able to recover. I am in the beginning of my journey out, you are in the middle and some have already exited.

I am not sure how I feel about 50 shades of grey.. mostly because the last several years have taught me that sexuality is only a small part of what love is and that if I really looked at any part of the dimension of what I lived, I would get severely depressed and know that I had lost so many things for just something that wasnt worth it at all

*spoiler alert........at the end of the book, Anastasia reached a limit and it was a limit I related to on a very personal level. She could of used the safe word, but didn't. I imagine it was shock and pain that kept her from stopping him.

It makes me uneasy that this book is romanticizing and glamourizing the BDSM lifestyle. It did give me insight to what could make a man need to inflict pain to acheive pleasure.
