Isn't NVC assign an interview immediately after closing the file which got completed between 1st and 15th of every month? Yours was closed on 15th and still not assigned an interview date?

Nop not yet. Still waiting for an interview date here. There are others here with 15th as CC and still awaiting interview date.

Thanks! Yes, my wife will go to Mumbai for an interview. I am hoping to see my NVC file number assigned in 1 to 2 weeks from today and I call them almost on everyday :lol:

Now if only I would get some good news too...but alas, another day where NVC has not received our file. Another fruitless call to USCIS this morning - they still are unwilling/unable to tell me if they have sent our case yet or if they are sitting on it and waiting for it to hatch a Chocobo or something. :angry:

Your NOA2 date is same as mine. Here's my personal experience calling NVC daily:

5/28 between 7pm to 8pm: File not reached NVC yet

5/29 at 8pm: File not reached NVC yet

5/30 at 8pm: File not reached NVC yet

5/31 at 11pm: File has reached NVC on 5/28 and waiting to get your file into our system with case number assigned.

Try calling them again late tonight and see if you get a nice operator. Hope you get your file reached NVC soon :thumbs:

October 05, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date October 5th)

October 08, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail

March 27, 2012: Received RFE (missing passport photo)

MArch 30, 2012: Received RFE Hard copy and sent it right back

April 02, 2012: Received Request for Evidence Response Review

Woooo!!

After 30 minutes of hitting a busy signal, than finally getting through and sitting on hold for 28 minutes....finally got the news that our case was received TODAY at NVC - yay!

Now for a case number. Operator said 15-20 business days for a case number. I'll take the rest of the week off and start calling them again next Monday :devil:
