NVC Filers - June 2012

Called NVC Yesterday they told me that they are waiting for my IV or DS230 but my AOS was accepted already, I will call again today.

Mine was delivered on Monday. I called this morning and they said it is not showing in their system. They have accepted my AOS. I will call on Monday again.

exactly saylin..its on the original, the signatures..but on the 'CERTIFIED MARRIAGE LICENSE', its plainly just the info about the groom and bride, and the marriage information as well..It's just really frustrating, how can I ever make them understand, that that's the only certification they Can and may issue..it just doesnt have the word 'certificate', that they want

If they do indeed reject it, send them a nice email that the certificate you sent is the official Certified copy from the County Records. Luckily the drones on the phone, are not the ones that review cases.

Some states do have certificates from the state office of vital statistics, and that maybe what the NVC operator is used to being told to reference to. They are both one in the same.

I'm here...but I have yet to receive my Case number and Invoice Number. Speaking of, will the Invoice number be the same for the DS-230 as well as the I-864? I've always thought they were paid seperately...so why are we asking the NVC for only one Invoice Number?

Also, got an email from NVC today...it says

I just got this RFE from NVC. I submitted my DS230 with the IV documents and it was delivered last Monday. I called earlier today and they said they have not received the documents. Should I ignore this RFE?

If you read my previous posts on this thread, you may see I got the same as well. It indicates that NVC has processed your AOS and now waiting to get IV package to be processed. Just ignore this message.

Getting a little concerned - NVC still hasn't received our file. Has anyone with an NOA2 date past June 8th have had their file received by the NVC? The NVC Tracking spreadsheet seems a little thin on data points for this.

Last two agents I spoke to suggested scanning my NOA2 and emailing it in for investigation. I shall do that this weekend.

Thanks I hope too. Good news I heard from NVC operator that they are working on assigning August interview dates for Mumbai Consulate, so we may get an appointment date in August. Your date is on 8/23 and hope we get 5 to 7 days after yours. Keeping my fingers crossed on this

Thanks They reviewed both AOS and IV packages 7 calendar days each from the date they received in mail. So if yours was delivered on 6/25, it's most likely that you will get your case completed on Monday.

I read through the thread and was a really helpful read. I guess I should start preparing my AOS and IV docs now while I am waiting for NVC case number. I wonder:

1. if my pay stubs and employement letters are scaned and inserted into the PDF file, do I need to give the originals to my wife so when she goes for the interview she can show the originals?

2. for DS-230 I just download from the state.gov website right? fill out all except the signature of Part II?

3. I want to front-load some pictures with the DS-230, because I didn't include any picture in my I-130 So, I would just make a huge PDF which includes DS-230 pack and then a bunch of pictures in the same PDF, and I have to make sure the final PDF is no more than 10m size? I am thinking this could be hard. Can I make 2 PDFs one is for the DS-230 pack and the other PDF just pictures of me and my wife??
