TOday a customer came in work and said today is the longest day of the year, i looked it up on the internet, yep. Just wen i thought the days couldnt get any longer.

I hope every one is making good progress with there cases and hope that all interview that passed we all passed and approved.

I think about how much it will suck to come this far to fall but trust in God and we'd all be fine.

I showed my hubby some of the visa fraud post and he was like "WOW" he said if he had to runaway from me he wont know where to go and that i'll still find him cus we have tracking devices on our phones and car and im licen to carry lolllll. he's too funny. Those storied arent funny but the most hurtful part is that you cant force the person u love so much to love you back if they don't cus maybe they never did. some ppl are so heart less. :ot2:

Case completed @ NVC!!!

Congratulations!

NVC received our IV packet on June 12 and exactly 1 week later they accepted it and told me case completed - June 19.

They received ours on June 12th as well, and still no news :-( Hopefully it will come soon!

They just do that when they get to one package before the other - which is almost always. They don't even bother to see if the package they ask for in the checklist is in their building. Even in our case, we sent the AOS and IV packages together, and we still got a false checklist.

Same exact thing happened to me....sent both packets together, and got a false checklist for the IV one.

Just finished my medical in Montreal, didn't take too long. My results may be ready on Friday, or if not I'll have to go Tuesday morning before my interview to get them (Monday being a holiday here) let's hope I don't have syphilis (haha)! Everything else was fine!

Congrats!

Question for all of you.....the NVC will never tell me perse that my case is closed, right? I have to call them to make sure of that? Also....about how long after you sent in the stuff requested on a checklist (and assuming everything is ok), did you guys get case completed?

Thanks!

Ugh. When I checked my e-mail this morning, there was a message from the NVC. I'm not sure what to make of it.

The subject line reads [NVC case #] checklist cover page.pdf

I mailed my IV package to the NVC on Saturday June 16. I was told it would take 4-6 business days for it to reach the NVC. Now I'm a little nervous I have done something wrong. I used a different cover page in the package I mailed. I got that cover page from an e-mail titled U.S. DoS - IV Application Cover Page for Case STK2012blablabla. Is that OK? Will I have to send in new documents? Or simply just a new cover page? I get so confused by all these e-mails. Life was so much easier when we were just waiting for the CSC to approve our application and forward it to the NVC. Today's also my last day of work and I'm totally stressing/flipping out over these things. UGH! :bonk:

Thanks for posting this. I get to know that I don't need to panic if I receive this type of false checklist. I also submitted AOS package in last week and waiting to get IV bill invoiced in few days.

Just got it, just paid it :)

Hope I'm not the only one!

Awesome! One step closer to the finish line at NVC

Hope I get my IV bill invoiced soon.

Lemayz,

When I called yesterday the operater actually said this case is complete as of June 19 then went on to talk about it being in queue for an interview date and that an e-mail with the interview details will be sent when the date is chosen. She said to call back third week of July for interview date but I'm thinking to give it about a week then go back to calling daily asking for it. Saylin has mentioned numerous times that is a lie and interviews are scheduled all month long.

Good luck to you and all!

Did you already pay the IV bill?

After you pay the IV bill you print the BarCoded sheet from the payment portal. You're suppose to pay the Bill then submitt the packet.

Oh yes. The IV bill has been paid. After it was paid I received an e-mail with a bar code cover sheet. That's teh one I printed and sent in the package.

I guess I should update my timeline, eh?

:D Hooray - We have been assigned an NVC case number and an Invoice Identification number today! Phew!

I have read the guides, but see conflicting information about when the petitioner should email the DS_3032 Choice of Agent. Saylin's FAQ says

"When can I email the DS-3032?

Right after you get your case number. (my emphasis) There's a chance it could get rejected (because they got to your email before they're ready to take documents), but if that's the case, just re-send it. On the flip side, there's also a chance it could get accepted and you wouldn't have wasted any time. "

BUT

LingChe's Shortcuts say:

"6. Send DS-3032 to continue processing.

The DS-3032 AKA Choice of Agent, is the form that indicates who will pay the bills and accept other documents from NVC.

Once all documents are fully loaded in, the AVR message MIGHT change.

Operators will be able to tell you if the DS-3032 has been generated.

If the DS-3032 has been generated, you can email it [8] or use the instructions at the top of this guide to create your own barcode cover-sheet.

Attempts to send DS-3032 via email may or may not receive an automated response...but the automated response does not mean it's been accepted.

Due to SPAM filters at NVC, if you do not get an automated response immediately, either switch to a different email account or mail the DS-3032.

Once accepted, you will get an email message...or you can confirm with operator.

Attempts to mail or email DS-3032 before it's been generated are useless. It's like trying to pay a water bill for a house that hasn't been built yet.

The auto response email just means that they accepted your email. It doesn't mean they can do anything with it.

It’s a good idea to mail AND email the DS-3032""

Saylin, if you are out there, can you tell me when and what we should do with the DS-3032, or can someone else? The NVC, of course, says "wait until you hear from us."

SO VERY HAPPY to have the number assigned. It is amazing how patience comes and GOES in this process. hey - today is the first day of Summer!

Thanks for posting this. I get to know that I don't need to panic if I receive this type of false checklist. I also submitted AOS package in last week and waiting to get IV bill invoiced in few days.

No problemo. I have come to the realization that my first reaction when something stressful happens (which is basically ANYTHING related to the NVC process at this point ;) ) is to post a question here about it, even though I've read the guides here on the board a million times. I have studied for about six years at the local university and I've worked as a teacher, but there's something about this and all the forms etc that just makes me lose my ability to think. I don't like that feeling. Hopefully it won't be much longer though.

Heather

I sent my DS-3032 on the same day when I got my case number (i.e. got my case number on 6/11 and sent on the same day)

FYI, NVC took 1 day to generate AOS invoice bill and sent me an email to send DS-3032 document.

I used this template: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

I was misguided by one NVC operator earlier saying that NVC won't accept DS-3032 plain email, but it must have .pdf file attached with beneficiary's sign in it. VJ email template is fine.
