Endless thanks Saylin :)

Another follow up question please....Will the Embassy return all my documents submitted to my wife at the interview? I'm asking because I feel a little uncomfortable with the private information I have submitted primarily of my Joint Sponsor, especially with her tax transcripts, high income level, and pay stubs. Should I at all be worried that some person(s) may steal this information, knowing that identity theft is rampant nowadays.

You only two things back at the interview: original/certified copy of beneficiary's birth certificate and original/certified copy of the marriage certificate. If there were other original/certified copies such as divorce or military records, those should be returned back as well. You won't get any other forms or documents back. These are put into a sealed enveloped which your wife will hand over at POE. This envelope then gets sent over to USCIS for their records. These officers see confidential information every day. It's their job not to do anything with it, except to review cases.

Let me know too please and thank you . . .

My wife will be staying at Casa Bocobo for the week of her med exam and interview. It's clean, and the staff are very friendly, and it's about a 1 block walk to St. Luke's EC. We both stayed there for a week back in October 2011 for our honeymoon!

Should be, yeah.

I remember seeing my I-130 and DS-230 at POE. The envelope is thick enough for all those forms.

We sent the DS-3032 email June 8th, and received an automated response. Today when logging into the NVC payment portal, husband's (beneficiary's) information has disappeared. This is exactly what happened to my information last week, right before they invoiced me for the I-864. I'm guessing they are about to invoice us for the IV packet. We haven't yet received a DS-3032 acceptance email, but I am thinking we will get it today or tomorrow. So for you folks awaiting a DS-3032 response, I think they're getting to them in about a week or so, give or take a few days. Keeping fingers crossed here.Hope you all hear good news today!

That's encouraging news Vilya! Hope we get our DS-3032 acceptance email response in a day or two. Good luck

Called NVC today, no update yet.

Thanks! I will call them tonight!

Hi everyone!

We sent off our I864 and DS230 a couple of weeks ago (phew!) but today we received the dreaded checklist!! Two things they are asking for...

1. My husband came to the US a couple of times on a J1 visa, the most recent time being in 2006. They are requesting proof that he has fulfilled any applicable 2-year home residency requirements. Firstly, his J1s didn't have any HRR requirement but we can't find the documents that prove that. But doesn't the fact that he has been living in the UK since 2006 obviously fulfill any such requirement anyway??

2. My husband listed that he lived in the Czech Republic for 9 months in 2004, which was just the time he spent studying abroad there during college. They are requesting that he obtain a police certificate from Czech Republic. We thought that you only needed a police certificate from countries that you lived in for more than 12 months? And since he was just studying there, we're not sure whether there will be any record of him living there anyway? Any thoughts?

Any chance the NVC would lift these requirements/checklist if we contact them and explain the above? Thanks so much for your help folks!!

I want to send her the photocopies I've made, however, my other issue is that the postal service in Indonesia, always open up the envelopes I send to her :( And I would hate to send such personal important documents. So instead, I am emailing her some of the documents for her to print out.

Should I also have my wife print out the multitude of pages of my income tax return as well as my joint sponsor's? It would be so troublesome for her. Can I just skip those documents for her to bring to the interview?

Hi everyone, I have been away for awhile, but I finally sent in the papers and now have a received a checklist :-( :crying:

Now I am hoping for some of your help!

It says that I am missing the following:

[x] It appears that there is no proof of current employment (a recently dated job letter or pay stub), or

self-employment status (a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license).

[x] The listed income tax documents/IRS statements for the years marked below are missing/incomplete

(if you have lost any of the requested tax information, contact your local IRS office to obtain a copy)

(Only Federal returns (not state or local) are acceptable unless the sponsor's income was earned in Puerto

Rico.)

• W-2 forms are missing/incomplete for the year(s):

[x] 2011 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.

I KNOW I did not send proof of current employment, but that's because I didn't think I needed to (I'm not even remotely close to making the minimum income so it doesn't matter how much my income is). So...was I still supposed to send it?

Secondly, I did not send my W2 form because I do not have W2 forms. I have an independent job in the US that I do via internet, so in that sense I am self-employed. I also work for a company here in Chile, but for that I don't get W2s...only the 2555 form, for Foreign Income Exemption. I had sent in all my Schedules and the 2555 form to show my tax info for 2011. So what do I do?

Lastly, the instructions say: The checklist below indicates missing or incomplete documents. In order to make corrections you will need to download a new form at www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov. You will need to complete and submit a new form with the changes noted below. Please provide all requested documents.

Does this mean I need to redo my entire I-864? I called the NVC and the lady (very mean lady) told me that I don't need to redo the form, but I am confused because of the above instructions.

Thanks so much!

Emailing her documents would be fine, and much faster in your case.

You can have your wife print whatever you want. This is up to you.

My husband and I got a similar checklist, we didn't think we needed to send proof of current income for the same reasons - he didn't make enough and we had a joint sponsor. We sent a letter from one of his clients as well as a paystub from our joint sponsor (they didn't request it but just incase) and a letter explaining why we couldn't provide them with one other thing they had asked for. We did not send in a new I864 and all was accepted no problem.
