NVC Filers - June 2012

I am totally bummed :(

I had a major health crisis, and it's wiped out all my savings, to the point I had to pawns jewelry to pay the electric company and borrow money from family to pay rent. Bad times. I had hoped that money would be coming in this weekend to bring everything to positive values (and to pay for our AOS and IV paperwork!), but it is not going to happen. Looks like now I have to wait for my next paycheck, which is on the last day of June.

I am so frustrated - called NVC daily, dealt with angry operators, hoped and prayed for a quick case number assignment...and now stuck waiting till July to pay and file. >.<

You are allready in the clear, you are in NVC stage and you have recovered form your health crisis which is what matters the most not only for you but your spouse too. Start prepping all the docs to send them in once the fees are paid

What was on the AOS checklist that you didn't send? Just curious.

If you've paid the IV fee, you can go ahead and mail the package.

I have my IV package ready but I am still working on a checklist that I received for my AOS Package should I send the IV package before the AOS checklist items??

Since the AOS and IV are two different, separate tracks at NVC, you can safely send in the IV package. It doesn't matter where you are on the AOS track.

First off, glad you're okay health-wise! And honestly, that's probably more important than "wasting" days at NVC.

Second, do you have a credit card you can use to send money to your bank account so you pay the bills now?

If I were you, I would wait until Portal status changes to PAID, just in case, if you shared the wrong bank account, your payment will be rejected..and in such a case,"A DAY waiting" will be worth it. but I believe, by 2/3 pm monday, your Portal status will be changed to PAID..( Was it Invoice or IN Progress status on Friday???)

Honestly, I dont see "Interview" happening on JULY....if everything goes smoothly, you will hear interview date schedule around first week of July....Nothing wrong to have FAITH though.....

best of luck.....

it was invoiced friday afternoon and was 'in process' a couple hours after.. most likely by monday afternoon it'll be on paid status, well i hope so:) then we'll send the IV package before 6pm so it'll be delivered the next day..

staying positive here and hoping for a case complete asap;)

Well, not ok health-wise yet. Currently laid up with pnuemonia, and still have a pesky portal vein blood clot that will be around for a while. The docs are having a tough time getting my blood thin enough and are concerned I'm still at risk for throwing the clot at this point.

I had to use my credit cards to pay this month's bills (rent, food, etc) - I'm down to a single $20 to last me until the last day of June. I have all my paperwork ready, just no funds. My husband attempted to send me some money from Canada, but apparently Arizona (where I live) has very strict regulations about who, how much and where you can send it, so he has to talk to a supervisor on Monday at Western Union to see what the issue is.

Well, you're still alive, so that means okay in my books :P

And wow blink.gif Hopefully that money gets sorted out quickly so you can pay the bills. But focus first on your health, it's more important than paying the AOS and IV bills.

Don't forget - you not need to 'go fast' at NVC - you've a year (or more) to handle the document intake.

Relax a bit, focus on yer health, then pay when you can (and note the casefile movement will pick up after you've paid)

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You're filling up the DS-230 for your wife? Keep in mind you need to pass the form with an original signature.

For the separate sheet, I just labelled it with the corresponding number and question on the DS-230 form. I also signed and dated it at the bottom - this was probably unnecessary, but I just wanted to be sure.
