Yesterday Mr. Sheeshka put in his notice at work and made it for July 20th.. which would be fine, but not what we discussed this entire time (July 1st is what was originally told to me). He wants to stop in Winnipeg for two weeks to visit his family, which isn't an issue, my issue is he keeps changing the date when we are going to leave Canada.Then he says "We should stay in Winnipeg for my Birthday." That's on August 8th. I said, "absolutely not!" Now he's mad at me. I'm getting a little perturbed to say the least.

I wanted to be home mid July. Now we might not get home until the middle of August. My kids start school August 6th, It doesn't look like I'll get home in time to see the kids off to their first week of school.

Our interview is July 18th so we discussed dated of POE and my hubby said arround his bday (aug 18th) my jaw droped thank god he counld see my expression over the phone. I wish he didnt want to wait an entire extra month but arround that time seems senemtal to him so imma just step back. SO when we get approved and have visa in hand im booking that ticket right away so he cant change his mind again. But with all do respects for his feelings i know how he felt, cus i had to once leave it all behind too and it is heart braking.

My son starts school the last week of AUG for the very 1st time I dont wanna let my babby go........

Emailed DS-3032 yesterday, received I-864 invoice today, invoice paid. Things are moving along.

Just got case complete email today!

On the email I received, it showed this:

"The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa."

My husband flew in this morning to spend a few days with me for our 1st year anniversary. Does that mean he can't visit me before our interview? Or does that just mean that he shouldn't plan on moving down until he gets his passport back after the interview, which he isn't planning on doing?

Happy does not even begin to describe how I'm feeling! Doing that jig I said I'd be doing when I no longer HAVE to communicate with NVC!

It only means he can not 'move' or have anything shipped until he has his visa in hand and activated. He can visit up until the interview, after which he will be passport-less until he gets it back a few days later.

The second one. They just don't want people to get all ready to leave and plan to move and then get denied at the visa interview.

Shouldn't be a problem. By the time it gets there, your invoice should process.

I have some questions, can anyone help?

I'm just trying to make sure I have everything ready to go for the NVC process because I want to quickly get through it, and I do pretty much, EXCEPT:

My boss still has done nothing regarding W-2s, paystubs, and since I'm a nanny it's not like the family has a company letterhead to write my employment letter on. I'm getting a little nervous, now that I know that on the USCIS website it says that all sponsors need to submit proof of current employment.

Luckily, I have a joint sponsor who has paystubs and the last 3 years' tax transcripts.

But nothing for me.

What should I do?

I also have some questions about the DS-260. I changed my address with USCIS after sending the i-130. The change was successful. I now receive my mail at my new address. However, when we fill out the DS-260, it will ask for where the intended immigrant plans to live in the U.S. and the i-130 has my parents' address. If I put my new address as the where he plans to live in the U.S., will the NVC stop and say, hmmm...the address here is different than on the i-130 we received, and therefore delay the process? Should I put my parents' address and just submit a change of address after he gets here? Where I live now isn't where we plan to live either, so I'd have to change it anyway. Just curious what your opinions are about this. So far, that's my plan. Luckily, there is a separate spot for where you want your mail actually sent. *phew*

Okay, last question. Do you need cover sheets with your Affidavit of support and Visa packages in MEP? How does that work? I know there are links to those around here somewhere...

Do you have your 2011 tax return submitted to the IRS?

Just use the address you're planning on staying at on the DS-260. This is very important as the green card will be sent there. It doesn't matter if it's not the same address as the I-130. People move. It's life.

Yes, you need to include cover sheets. They're found on the payment portal after you pay the respective bills. They're called 'Document Cover Sheets'. Make sure it's the first page in the package.

Thanks, Saylin! And yes. I filed for 2011 and I requested my tax transcripts. I didn't file for 2010 because I didn't meet the income requirements. I guess I should file anyway? There are ways to file for past years.

I called NVC today and they said that my choice of agent was entered into the system today so I'm hoping by next week I can pay the iv invoice and send out the iv package hope things keep on moving fast it would be very good!!! Hope everybody else keeps moving along fast also!!!!!
