You're right! We received packet 4 today.. Interview date on July 11!

I just want to ask regarding legend on the appointment letter. What's the difference between:

O = The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post requirements, and

Y = The required document has been received?

Do they both mean that I don't have to bring those to the interview anymore?

Alright, so since we got our Case numbers, etc yesterday...

I'm trying to follow the Montreal guide, hopefully it's still good. We sent the opt-in email using the referenced template naming me as the person to receive info. Then we logged on to the referenced portal page and filled out the DS-261. As of right now, unable to pay any bills, no other forms showing as able to be filled out/submitted via EP.

Am I missing anything? I feel so discombobulated by the whole process!

give them 1 to 2 days to generate your AOS invoice. Mine took 1 day and system did not let me login during this period. Good Luck!

hi our case was also approved on may 15,2012 and not yet receive, but i saw dates of approval like may 16 and may 22 and their cases were both at NVC...

I think you have passed their normal wait time of 15 to 20 business days to get your file reached to NVC. Try to escalate by calling NVC and ask for supervisor, and also send an email to NVC.

And no, you're not missing anything. Since you just got your case number, it'll still be a few days before your AOS is invoiced. Then, once your DS-261 has been accepted and added to the case file, your IV bill will be invoiced.

I want to share something NVC operator told me last night. I am waiting for my father's case to be completed (my mom's one done three days ago) and got frustrated with them so I insisted to speak with a supervisor. However, I did not speak with one, but the operator told me that they schedule interviews any time now. I asked if she is sure because I have been told that interviews are scheduled only the second week of each month and she said that this was true but they have changed it and now an interview can be scheduled at any time during the month. I do not know if this is true but I hope they really have changed their rules!

It has been like that all along. It's never been just the second week of the month. For proof, look at my own signature/timeline. My interview date was scheduled during the FOURTH week. And that was more than a year ago.

Great! Yes, Document Cover Sheet is mandatory as per NVC AOS requirement. Otherwise it delays the processing.

WOOHOO!! just got the interview appointment letter from NVC!! Haven't woken my wife yet to tell her, but I'm kind of wondering how upset she'll be....the date? Friday, July 13! I think this will take a LOT of convincing that things will go okay!

Yesterday Mr. Sheeshka put in his notice at work and made it for July 20th.. which would be fine, but not what we discussed this entire time (July 1st is what was originally told to me). He wants to stop in Winnipeg for two weeks to visit his family, which isn't an issue, my issue is he keeps changing the date when we are going to leave Canada.Then he says "We should stay in Winnipeg for my Birthday." That's on August 8th. I said, "absolutely not!" Now he's mad at me. I'm getting a little perturbed to say the least.

I wanted to be home mid July. Now we might not get home until the middle of August. My kids start school August 6th, It doesn't look like I'll get home in time to see the kids off to their first week of school.
