great! I will send DS-3032 today. Are you suggesting to call NVC everyday from tomorrow until I get confirmation from them?

I would give it a few days. NVC receives thousands of e-mails and it might take them a few days to get to yours. Some patience will be required right now.

Ok so my AOS fee says paid, so I almost have everything ready to scan and email. My question is that the I-864EZ is for the W-2 only income well all my income came from W-2 type wages. the only thing is that I made $18 of interest from my savings acount and is shown on my tax return will these $18 be a problem in using the I-864EZ or am I gonna have to use the regular I-864 form. there is no 1099 or nothing like that on my 2011 tax return. I guess $18 is not enough for a 1099.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Called twice today - both operators told me 30 business days for case number to be generated after receipt....this does not bode well at all.

Hello everyone, I am filling out my DS-230 form. I need some assistance with a few numbers: 21a and 21b. I have a nine-year old son that lives with his dad, however, I would love for him to be able to visit me in the future. How exactly should I answer both of these questions?

I would also like to receive assistance with number 22. I have several ideas for what my occupations will be but I'm not entirely sure what I should write; in other words, should I be more specific or is it okay for me to give a broad range of jobs I will be working?

I have just obtained my bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering but due to the fact that I am not proficient in the English level (B1 level based off of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) I will not be able to work in my field.

mine too, going on 1 month this june 15,2012 not yet received by NVC.....emailed the scan copy of NOA2.....looooooong wait.... :blink: praying this week, we will receive good news...received and with Case number!!!!!!!..

Hi,

I did not file my 2011 taxes because i was going to wait until my husband received his SSN. Since I am due a refund.

I have all my info entered in Turbo Tax but even if i file Married (separately) I need his SSN.

and since I am not single i can't file single, correct??? I thought the New Delhi embassy would give me trouble if I did this.

I have mailed my AOS with 2011 W-2s. very worried I may get a RFE.

Any advise?

When filing MFS (Married Filing Separately) or MFJ (Married Filing Jointly), you can't file electronically as the foreign spouse doesn't have a SSN.

If you want to file MFS, then you just need to write 'NRA' (non-resident alien) in the SSN field and that's it.

If you want to file MFJ, then you also need to include a W7 with document(s) from the foreign spouse.

Whatever you decide, you cannot file as single as you are legally married.

There is no question 21a or b on the DS-230... Are you looking at an older form?

For the occupation question (which isn't question 22 by the way), you can put 'undecided'. NVC really doesn't care as long as you don't put something like 'prostitute'.

Great! Yes, I got this email address from the first post :lol: but I was just verifying it's not changed in last 10 days :lol:

Just sent an email and immediately got an auto response saying they will respond to the email as they receive. I hope someone will look into this email in coming days. Does someone still find their email lost even after receiving an auto response from NVC mail server system?
