Hi Saylin,

there is a lawyer on my case (company's lawyer), so from what I read, they won't send me DS-3032. I emailed it anyway last week but I don't think this is the problem.

Oh, didn't know you had a lawyer. If you had a lawyer with your original petition to USCIS, then the lawyer is automatically designated as the agent for your case.

For IR-1/CR-1 cases, if there's a lawyer involved, then the AOS and IV bills are invoiced at the same time, so a couple days after the case number is assigned.

But since you're applying for a work visa (and this forum is for spousal visas), then I don't know how your process is exactly. You need to go to the appropriate forum in your case and ask there (or preferably, search first as someone might have asked already). Here's the forum you need: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/141-work-visas/

Copying and pasting from a website like that doesn't help. It takes out the design and formatting. Please take a screenshot and edit it to just display the AOS section, otherwise your screenshot is going to be huge with the full webpage.

Well, if it says not invoiced, then it's not invoiced. There's no way you pay a fee if it hasn't been invoiced yet.

You just got your case number today. Your AOS fee won't be invoiced for a few days. Just be patient and keep checking the payment portal site.

Hi Saylin,

thank you for your answer. The problem is that not a lot of people are going through CP for employment based visas. The process through NVC is very similar to yours, only I don't need to submit AOS. I still need to pay IV fee and send the same documents, and when my case is complete, they will assign me an interview. So that's why I'm asking here because you have better idea of when the different parts are moving.

Ah, okay. Well, timing for the IV fee to be invoiced might be different for you is all. When did you get your case number?

You can't track your green card once it's been mailed out. There's just a few updates on the USCIS site and that's it. Obviously, if it's been mailed out, then your green card has already been approved and ordered for production. You probably just missed the updates on the site. Again, there is no way to track your green card with USPS from the USCIS site.

Just looked at Laure's profile, I'm assuming she called USCIS and got the tracking number from them. But honestly, this is not necessary. The green card will arrive in the mail. Give them time.

Thanks As always Saylin (F)

I got my case # on June 7th along with my IIN. I logged in the system immediately and my AOS invoice shows as exempt. Then under the IV, there was the name of my husband (even with wrong last name) but with birth year, relationship etc but no fee. Then on June 8th, any information in the IV section disappeared and is still showing nothing.

And you've called NVC about this?

Personal question: if you're applying for a work visa, why is your husband's information appearing? (And by the way, you're going to need to correct his last name pronto or it'll cause problems).

For vjers that have submitted the ds-261 recently how long after submitting it was your IV bill invoiced?

It's not a work visa. It's an employment based green card :) His info is appearing because he is a dependent and will get his green card through me. Mystery solved. The visa bulletin came out. They retrogressed my date :) Thank you for your help.

Ah, I understand now. And yeah, retrogression would explain it. Hope it changes again in your favor!
