Well, you'll probably get a case complete next week, if not, the week after. Your interview would then be sometime in August, probably early August. So, you're very close to the finish line!

Oh, I hope so! But alas... After reviewing the DS-260 for what seems like the hundredth time, I noticed there is a typo in my husband's education section. It shows that one of the schools he went to was in Wales, Canada instead of the UK. In the address section it is entered correctly. I will make note of it, but will they make a big deal about that? Always something...

Hello to my fellow VJ members,

I need some help tracking my case file on the

DHL website.

I tried the format shown in Ling Che's NVC shortcut with my numbers,

but it was to no avail. My response was

"No result found for your DHL query. Please try again. Try New Search ".

I tried my case number in their shipper's reference number parameter and still nothing.

Can someone give me the format they used to retreive their casefile's progress as my wife

wants to know when it reaches Rio.

Thanks to all and have a great weekend and I wish you all speedy movement this coming week.

Allow couple of business days because NVC has yet to mail the package. It seems it takes almost 4/5 business days to ship the package after NVC assigns the appointment for Interview.

USER error....lol.. :blush::blush::blush:

congrats!!!

Interview aassssssssssssiiiiiiiiigggggggggnneeed July 16th,2012 on my Bday :)

congrats!!!

I had a feeling that I should call NVC this evening, even though I didn't expect to get a case number for at least another week. So I called, and talked to a very helpful woman. We got our case number and IIN! She reviewed our contact information, and cautioned me not to try and pay anything or do anything until I receive instructions (but of course I'm not going to take her advice on that).

I'm so excited! Things are finally moving!

So NOA2 May 10, NVC case received June 1, case number June 7. Hopefully this means things are speeding up a bit at the NVC. Best of luck to everyone else waiting!

congrats!!!

Thank you - POE done, have laptop open and updating everyone while I wait for my flight. Piece of cake! Super nice guards! Relax and enjoy the rest of your journey :):dance::dance:

yay, so happy all went well!!! :)

Hi guys,

I got a letter from NVC stating when my interview is at and all the other detailed info, the email itself was 5 pages, we are suppose to get one more from the embassy, right? And, what is that DHL site that tracks the package once it leaves NVC... i know i have read about it but i just cannot remember.... thank you :)

Nope, not at all. That IS the Interview Appointment letter. Find a printer, print it out, hand carry to medical exam and interview.

"Well, the employment letter and pay stubs are OPTIONAL. They are NOT required. So if you don't have them, you don't need to wait or worry about getting them. As long as you have the I-864 and the tax information, that is all you need."

Thanks, Saylin! Sad to say, but I've gotten consistently more accurate advice from you than I ever did from that POS attorney I paid for 3 consults with in Phoenix...probably should have just paid you instead!

I'll just make sure I have stubs and whatnot to bring with for interview, in case there are questions B-)

You can still send her a 3 kg box of poutine gravy mix.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I tend to think my from-scratch gravy is better than the stuff I've had when visiting Up North....or maybe my dear, darling hubby just keeps feeding me sub-par poutine.....? *gasp*

First off, have you called NVC and actually gotten the exact date that NVC sent out your package? This is very important.

Oh, I hope so! But alas... After reviewing the DS-260 for what seems like the hundredth time, I noticed there is a typo in my husband's education section. They might not notice. If they don't, then I suggest bringing an updated DS-230 with you to the interview. Although, the education section isn't really important. but I still suggest it just in case.

regardless of 'source', it's best to 'get it to Saylin' .

So when does the ds-260 usually come available to fill out. Do you pay the IV bill first then the ds-260 will come available?

Thanks again VJ

Yes, the IV bill has to appear as Paid and then the DS-260 will be available for you to fill out.
