That letter is all you're going to get. If you're referring to the other one is called Packet 4. Go to the site of the US Embassy in the country where the beneficiary is located and search for packet 3/4 under the immigrant visa section and voila!

Have your husband call up NVC and ask specifically: "Has the Affidavit of Support package been accepted?" See what they say to that.

And no, like I said earlier, NVC does NOT send confirmation they accepted it. The only time they send correspondence out for a certain package is if something is missing (aka a checklist)

i told him, he will call on monday may be, cuz it's saturday there. thanks Saylin :)

I talked to NVC last night around 1130pm, the package yet to mail...hopefully, by next tuesday, I will hear good news when I call NVC...

Still no case number as of 10:10p Eastern time according to NVC. Operator tells me that 15-20 business days should be allowed from case receipt to assignment of case number...wow! NVC sure has slowed down. Went from 2 months total process time just a few months ago, to (potentially) almost 2 months from NOA2 just to get a case number: 20 business days from NOA2 to receipt at NVC, additional 20 business days from receipt to case number assignment. It boggles my poor little mind :o

On a side note - I have switched employers, and my new employer declines to write an employment letter of any type - against policy. My first full paycheck won't be until the second week of July (I hate twice monthly pay checks, grrrr), so I won't have a full paycheck to show until then. Any thoughts on what would be an acceptable submission in their place, or am I stuck waiting even longer until I have a whole paycheck? If it matters: I had major surgery in April and was off work for 8 weeks, previously worked full time at another job that I DO have employment letter from, but I'm no longer employed with...lol.

Well, the employment letter and pay stubs are OPTIONAL. They are NOT required. So if you don't have them, you don't need to wait or worry about getting them. As long as you have the I-864 and the tax information, that is all you need.

Hi guys,

No, you do not get anything from the consulate/embassy. The last piece of correspondence you receive in this process is the email from NVC with your interview information.

For the DHL tracking, read here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/194465-how-to-track-your-case-from-nvc-to-embassy/ And don't just read the first post, the process has changed slightly.

I'll just make sure I have stubs and whatnot to bring with for interview, in case there are questions B-)

Don't worry about that at all. That question about if someone helped you with the form is relating more to lawyers, attorneys, etc. If it's just the spouse that helped, that's 100% fine without saying so on the form. You have NOTHING to worry about. Don't bother contacting NVC at all about this.

As always, thank you for all of your help! :) Coming up on our one year anniversary a week from Monday, and I can finally see the finish line getting a little closer. But yeah, definitely bring the pay stubs and employment letter to the interview in case they want it then, but I highly doubt it.

Well, you'll probably get a case complete next week, if not, the week after. Your interview would then be sometime in August, probably early August. So, you're very close to the finish line!

Hello to my fellow VJ members,

I need some help tracking my case file on the

DHL website.

I tried the format shown in Ling Che's NVC shortcut with my numbers,

but it was to no avail. My response was

"No result found for your DHL query. Please try again. Try New Search ".

I tried my case number in their shipper's reference number parameter and still nothing.

Can someone give me the format they used to retreive their casefile's progress as my wife

wants to know when it reaches Rio.

Thanks to all and have a great weekend and I wish you all speedy movement this coming week.
