I came to know on Tuesday. Check junk mail folder all the time.

Hopefully you get it soon then. NVC's email servers do get clogged at times where it does take longer than usual to get emails. I'd say if you still hadn't received it by next Friday, give NVC a call and ask to re-send your interview letter.

Hi Vj Members,

I just got the NVC case number today. I tried to give my and my wife's email to the NVC CSR over the phone but he said since they enter the case today, they cant take the emails yet. Asked me to call back next week. My question is, is it normal? Also can I email DS3032 now since I have the case number or I will have to wait till they email 3032 instruction? I appreciate your help!

First off, grats on getting your case number! kicking.gif

I'd suggest calling back again today and trying to give over your email addresses again. When I got my case number, I gave over the email addresses the same day.

Yes, you can email the DS-3032 now.

Did you get the IIN as well when you got your case number?

Quick question how long does it usually take NVC to accept the ds-261 after completing it

Well, when I was at NVC, it was accepted the next day. But those were completely different time frames laughing.gif

I'm thinking it takes just a few days now, just like with the DS-3032.

Thanks Saylin! You rock!!! I called back and got the invoice number. However when I went to pay for AOS, it's showing not invoiced. So I cann't pay yet. I guess I will have to wait couple more days.

Yup, the AOS is never ready the same day you get a case number. It takes a few days (as I've explained in the FAQs). Just keep checking the payment portal, it should be invoiced sometime next week.

Still no case number as of 10:10p Eastern time according to NVC. Operator tells me that 15-20 business days should be allowed from case receipt to assignment of case number...wow! NVC sure has slowed down. Went from 2 months total process time just a few months ago, to (potentially) almost 2 months from NOA2 just to get a case number: 20 business days from NOA2 to receipt at NVC, additional 20 business days from receipt to case number assignment. It boggles my poor little mind :o

On a side note - I have switched employers, and my new employer declines to write an employment letter of any type - against policy. My first full paycheck won't be until the second week of July (I hate twice monthly pay checks, grrrr), so I won't have a full paycheck to show until then. Any thoughts on what would be an acceptable submission in their place, or am I stuck waiting even longer until I have a whole paycheck? If it matters: I had major surgery in April and was off work for 8 weeks, previously worked full time at another job that I DO have employment letter from, but I'm no longer employed with...lol.
