Hello to all my fellow VJ members.

Called NVC this evening after being told at about 11:30am that our

case would not be scheduled for interview until the third week of

June. "Call back around June 18th and check with us" I was told.

Well I paid that no attention and called back around 7:15pm and

received our interview date. July 18th 2012. Ha, go figure!!

My wife was elated and hit the floor when I gave her the good news.

Thanks to everyone here for all of the sound wisdom and knowledge that

has brought us to this point.

I wish everyone the best and will keep you all in my prayers.

Thanks VJ, could not have done it without you all!!

Congratulation..... I also went through the same kind of experience on this journey.....got different answers for the same question from different customer service representatives....feels like they just make up some EXCUSE when you have an inquiry....Best thing I learned during the Journey is...Don't give up...Keep Calling....Sooner or later you will get the GREAT news......you never know when it will happen though....and funny part:Most of the time, it will happen when you don't expect....

Everyting is going smoothly so far and hope for the same......

GuangZhaou EP: got P4/Interview Letter, interview date: July 2, 2012, 12:30PM for both wife and son! Overall, the whole process is wonderful and smooth with this VJ, and Darnell and Saylin's assistance!!! Thanks a lot to all friends here!

One question: document intake occurs one day before interview date?

From Interview Letter: """An immigrant visa interview has been scheduled for the applicant at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in GUANGZHOU ELECTRONIC on July 2, 2012 at 12:30 pm."""

I think this July 2, 2012 is document intake date. Actual interview occurs on July 3, 2012. Am I reading correctly? Please advise.

You are correct, document intake is on the 2nd, the interview is on the 3rd.

Unless things are very different for China,

It's a two day process in China, the date and time given on the interview letter is for the intake of documentation. Applicants return to the Consulate the following morning for the interview itself.

Thx. Only glitch in the whole process is, missed your the $88 comments, ended up Uncle Sam got a nice bonus. Now focus is on the land of dumplings dancing up and down!

You have been in China some time already.

I think you need to find some one else's Auntie, have her teach you how to make jiaozi skin ;)

I have a quick question about the DS-260. I've felt really good about the NVC process so far (compared to our USCIS experience) until my husband signed and sent the DS-260 electronically. He was supposed to add that I helped him with the form, but he was in a hurry this morning and must have glanced over that part with a "No" for the question asking if anyone helped with it. Should I contact NVC? I have already gotten an email saying that NVC received the supplemental documentation, which I sent after the DS-260 was signed and sent over.

We've come so far and I don't want any problems if I can avoid them. :)

Hello to all my fellow VJ members.

Called NVC this evening after being told at about 11:30am that our

case would not be scheduled for interview until the third week of

June. "Call back around June 18th and check with us" I was told.

Well I paid that no attention and called back around 7:15pm and

Have your husband call up NVC and ask specifically: "Has the Affidavit of Support package been accepted?" See what they say to that.

And no, like I said earlier, NVC does NOT send confirmation they accepted it. The only time they send correspondence out for a certain package is if something is missing (aka a checklist).

I still didn't get my interview letter yet. It is normal?

When did you find out about your interview date? Have you checked the junk mail folder of your email?

You have to keep in mind, it can take a few days to receive the interview letter. I've even seen it take more than a week a few times.

I have a quick question about the DS-260. I've felt really good about the NVC process so far (compared to our USCIS experience) until my husband signed and sent the DS-260 electronically. Don't worry about that at all. That question about if someone helped you with the form is relating more to lawyers, attorneys, etc. If it's just the spouse that helped, that's 100% fine without saying so on the form. You have NOTHING to worry about. Don't bother contacting NVC at all about this.

It's currently taking NVC around a month from NOA2 to assign case numbers. Your case number will probably be assigned in a week or two. Just keep calling NVC every single day to inquire.

Don't bother sending the scanned NOA2. It won't do much at this point as it's taking EVERYONE a month to get a case number assigned. Just keep calling every day and asking them if a case number is assigned.

When did you find out about your interview date? Have you checked the junk mail folder of your email?

You have to keep in mind, it can take a few days to receive the interview letter. I've even seen it take more than a week a few times.

I came to know on Tuesday. Check junk mail folder all the time.
