I get what you're saying - that the right wing nuts will continue to spread the lie that liberals want to force everyone into a gay marriage. A claim so ridiculously false that I wonder how dumb someone would have to be to make it or much much dumber to buy actually into it. But then, they're right wing nuts so that explains a lot.

I see the whole gay marriage issue as another issue to keep Americans distracted from whats really going on. I don't care if gays have the right to marry or not. The effect on my life is zero. People should get back for looking out for their own family and quit worrying about how your neighbor is living his or her life. If you think its a sin in God's eyes, then let God deal with it, that's his job not mine or your's.

Actually, I'm reasonably certain that most of the major religions don't preach that.

As long as we live in a society where a large number of people are (or claim to be) religious, the interests of the religious simply can not be discounted.

I know a lot of married couples gay and otherwise. None of them tried to force their marriages down on anyone so far. However you can never trust them libruls... Okay, so you concur that no liberal is actually trying to force gay marriage onto anyone. That's good. It's a start.

As to forcing acceptance of what some (not the vast majority) consider to be a deviant lifestyle, that's a stretch, too. It's no more forcing acceptance of that "deviant lifestyle" than the forcing of acceptance of the "deviant lifestyle of interracial partnerships" some 50 years ago when the SCOTUS told the last backward asshatz that interracial couples do indeed have the same right to marry as same race couples and that any legislation to the contrary is unconstitutional. All we have here is the thinning band of backward asshatz (them old farts tend to die off) that will be told by the same court in due time that it's really not up to them to deny their neighbors and co-workers who happen to be homosexual the right to marry.

That is a stretch really. You need not accept anything you do not wish no more than the vast majority needs to accept your lifestyle. In fact I am sure that the vast majority would disapprove of your lifestyle as much as you disapprove of others'.

Meh. It was going to happen eventually. There really is no justification anymore for traditional marriage in a world that is already over populated and where more than half the births in the US occur outside of marriage for women under 30. Change the name from "marriage" to "binding civil relationship" that any set of adult humans can voluntarily enter into. I would rather we find a way to limit how many children people bring into this world through a concerted education and free sterilization program initially, and more stringent methods if necessary. Why is it those that seem to breed the most are the ones least capable of improving the gene pool?
