Interview 221(g) Resume/CCP info

For the past seven months me and my fiance have been going through the K-1 visa process. I am the US citizen she is a Chinese citizen. About a week ago she had her interview at Guangzhou and they requested further information from her. Specifically a resume and a statement about her CCP status.

We have been using an attorney for this process and until now everything has gone rather smoothly if not slowly. Our lawyer is strongly recommending the get the CCP statement notarized however my fiance is telling me this is impossible. I recently discovered this website in searching about this issue and would like to ask the experienced and informed members here if motorization is needed/possible or not.

I've found some forum entries of people going into the interview with the CCP statements but nothing I read indicated how formal these statements are. Finally I'd like to ask the opinion of this forums members how likely it is she will receive the visa after sending in these documents and how long the wait might be. She joined the CCP as her university required it, has not attending any kind of meetings or events, holds no positions, has never benefited from being a member, and has no strong feelings toward the party etc etc.

On a side note I wish I had known of these forums a long time ago.

Seems I've been moved again. Scared me for a moment I thought the post had been deleted.

Been searching the forums while I think I have a better idea as to how long this part of the process might take, I still haven't found an answer for my main question about how the CCP statement should be done.

Didn't see your post in the China portal. Fiancee's GUZ interview was 3/19 & 3/20. They asked for resume, trips out of country, and work plans. Still in AP. We call DoS hotline weekly, but they are not able to tell us anything other than "still in AP." Senator's inquiry was unfruitful. Chief CO GUZ stated, "Many AP cases are adjudicated in about 90 days, but some may take far longer." Best wishes. Li & I share your pain.

illithoid -

based on what you've written, and what she's submitted back already,

i say there's a 100 percent chance she'll be approved.

As for 'how long' - anywhere from 22 to 180 days.

but don't take my word for it - engage with Marc Ellis, pay for 2 hours of billable time, and see what he says.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
