Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” (John 14:12). hope this words of wisdom will helps you to be strong, and live by faith. Welcome back.

That ####### is scarey. Dr. prescribed it for me and It also drove me out of my mind. I stopped taking it and it took about 5 days to get past it. She gave me free samples of something else and I went home and threw them in the trash. That was enough for me to learn my lesson. I don't ever want to experience anything like that again.

So very happy you got through this ok and you will find a better way to stop smoking i'm sure.

Good grief. Can't I go to ANY forum without being assaulted with Jesus-#######?

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I would like to thank all the VJ friends for the understanding ,Im very thankful for the chance you all give to my Sweet Gary. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Hey Gary, why dont you send the rest of your prescription to some of the whack jobs that were speculating about your visa app. LOL

you all knew he was bull chittng. knowing his story did not connect the dots. its great he took the "BE A MAN " approach and told the TRUTH! his lye did not add up to nothing only added to speculation and debate.

the only WACK JOBS on VJ are the ones that call others WACK JOBS.

To You Shon...hmmmm..damn if we do damn if we dont huh :( ..Well I hate to say this but you need to see a Doctor girl, your sick! your negativity attitude kinda tiring! *yawnn*

Sorry for abandoning my job, which to slap the ####### out of any chopf##ks who started ####### in your "goodbye" topic. I kinda got distracted by freezing temps, bundles of insulation, and a buxom British lass.

Glad to hear all is better now.

This is a good example of why I despise prescription drugs.

At least it's all over now, eh?

Welcome back.

 I dare ya

Welcome back Gary.. sooo glad you have decided to not only stop the medications.. .. bad side effects.. but.. you realized that that was not the true you making extreme decisons...

Lucky man to have your Lady Luz there.. too bad indeed she wasnt there closer to smack your booty a bit to knock some sense.. but ..

we all are aware of what this situation is and does do to us...

THat is after all . why we are all returning each day to this forum... for support... to laugh.. to cry .. to be yelled at. .. and yes to yell or scold as well.. hey.. isnt that what friends are for...

Glad to see you realized the sideeffects.. ... hate to see something really terrible happen..

Side note... in many of the Oriental Markets. there is a tea that is called.

Stop Smoking tea.. it is in a green box.. contains 8 teabags.. you use one tea bag.. drinking the tea.. I tell my clients.. to continue reusing the teabag till it is not working .. . ..

This tea is really good for helping with the cravings of cigarettes.. what it does is mix into your system.. when you light up .. take a drag of the cig... the niccotine and the herbs.. counter each other . making a bitter taste in your mouth.. .. thus making it yuckie and you dont want the cig. any longer.. .. kinda like putting bitter herbs or lemons on thumbs of thumbsuckers.. .. causes you to not want the cigarettes for your mind will then associate it with the sour taste.. .. yuck.. therefor not craving as much.. . till the nicotine is slowly out of your system..

If you have any Herbal stores.. or Oriental markets.. it is a widly know product... give it a try.. k

best of luck..

Wow! What an experience! I am glad that you are indeed 'back' both here on VJ and to your own sense of self. Best wishes to you and Luz both for a really speedy visa approval - and then a successful 'kicking of the habit'. I like the way Luz' mind works, but if you need additional help, accupuncture is also supposed to have a good success rate:-).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I had anxieity and panic attacks..during my divorce..and i'm the one who wanted it.. SO I know the feeling of going crazy... and it ain't no picnic.. With me I had to get out of the house and walk..I must of been doing 15-20 miles aweek there for about a month..

So I totally understand the mind-set..

Welcome back..

To everyone on VJ. I owe all of you an explanation and an apology for what happened last week.

I have been a 2 pack a day smoker for over 30 years now and I was desperate to quit. I went to the doctor and asked him for help. He prescribed me a medicine called bupropion (Wellbutrin). I took one pill a day for a week and then I was told to increase the dosage to 2 pills a day for 2 weeks before I was supposed to quit. The thing the doctor didn't tell me about was the terrible side effects that were possible. This is from http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginf...er/a695033.html

you should know that your mental health may change in unexpected ways, especially at the beginning of your treatment and at any time your dose is increased or decreased. These changes may occur at any time if you have depression or other mental illness, whether or not you are taking sertraline or any other medication. You, your family, or your caregiver should call your doctor right away if you experience any of the following symptoms: new or worsening depression; thinking about harming or killing yourself, or planning or trying to do so; extreme worry; agitation; panic attacks; difficulty falling or staying asleep; irritability; aggressive behavior; acting without thinking; severe restlessness; and frenzied, abnormal excitement. Be sure that your family or caregiver knows which symptoms may be serious so they can call the doctor when you are unable to seek treatment on your own.

It seems that I was one of the unlucky ones that had all of those symptoms in bold. I had myself firmly convinced that Luz would never get her visa and the only hope I had was to move there. I really thought I was loosing my mind at one point. I really scared the hell out of me.

Not only that, I scared the hell out of Luz. At one point she even said that she does not know me anymore. That I wasn't the same Gary that she fell in love with. God bless her soul she still stuck with me. I will forever thank her for that. The symptoms that I described slowly subsided after 4 or 5 days and I finally came to my senses.

I know that she has been on here trying to cover for me. I am very sorry that she had to do that. I have asked her forgiveness and she has given it.

I want to ask all of my friends here for their forgiveness. I miss you all very much and I would like to come back to the VJ family. I want to assure all of you that everything is fine between Luz and I. Our visa is going to move ahead as planned. I even found out on the 12th that the NVC has sent her petition to Manila.

Can I come back?
