Morning Everyone!!

I just wanted to let you know that I went to the London Embassy yesterday and after just 40 minutes I was approved! I shall write a description of my experience later on today but I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone!! A few weeks time I shall be heading over to Hawaii to start a new life with my hubby to be!

Good Luck to everyone - it's def worth the wait to hear those great words "Your Approved"!!

Congrats and best wishes. My wife heard those magic words from her Consular Officer also. Two weeks of waiting afterward with no attempt by the Embassy to notify her otherwise, and three attempts by us to find out, we learned that she would instead receive a 221g (administrative processing notification). Two plus months later (and 10 months overall), we are still waiting. Again, congratulations! All I am saying is wait for your visa in hand before you purchase plane tickets. I'm out over $2,000 on the "good words" of the interviewer. In China, your word is your bond, like much of Europe. In America, and in US Consulates, if it is not in writing, it didn't happen. [Of course, the written piece of paper from the interview also said, "Congratulations! You are approved."] But in fine print, the "terms and conditions" warned that you could still be detained. But most people don't want to read the fine print because they are so happy.

Yes it took us 5 months - we expedited a few times due to the fact that my fiance is being deployed overseas..Hope this helps
