Oh, there's been plenty of threads about heartbroken people and a 19 year old who was going to move to South Africa with her Nigerian boyfriend. Good times.

Those aren't here though. Never have been and hopefully, never will be.

Maybe we should encourage the "ladies of CABA" to stop by?

Hey!smile.gif

Not much to report from here. It was my birthday on Tuesday, and now I am very, very close to officially being old, old enough to start wondering if I need a 20-year-old MENA husband. tongue.gif

Oh yeah, guess I've been busy emasculating men and whatnot while wearing my Uggs, but that's SOP for a CABA, and hardly worth reporting.biggrin.gif

Dang...how'd I miss that! I used to read the craziest stories on here while killing time. Remember that mcat guy? Oh man...that was a good one. It was so absurd people thought he was making it up...sadly I think it was legit.

Didn't Gary say something about going to THE Ukraine for a few weeks?

And Kip, yeah, he probably got sent to the principal's office. Either that or the union hall made him head back out to the slope now that the weather's lifted.

Gary is still in Ukraine and I got bent over on a bs two week ban that should have been a warning at best. But you know how it is, if your not in a certain click on here you get no breaks. But I'm back like crack...that and I have two months of unemployment left, which is a good thing seeing how there's close to 80+ guys ahead of me on the list. If they don't produce quick like I'm going to have to pick up non union job for this summer. Work up here though is super slow. The oil companies cut back on their shut downs this summer big time.

Too quiet here in the RUBforum, zzz man. Where are Gary & Kip?

Gary is lucky. Nice weather and all those mini skirts running around. The wife left to Belarus a few weeks ago for her sisters wedding and it's been good times here. Pizza & beer for lunch and my friends aren't afraid anymore to come over and have coffee in the morning. The one time she called here the first thing she did was ask how her cat was doing.

and ... why weren't we invited?

It's a party!

It just seems quiet because Highlander is off visiting Borat's sister.

I got a job!!! as an ESL teacher, which is very exciting, but takes away a lot of my free time. I also do translations to/from Russian and Ukrainian.

I still scan through threads here, but I don't post as much as I used to.

I have no idea what happened to Gary & Kip, it would be nice to know.

Way to go ONA ! B-)

I changed jobs as well, so not as much time to kill surfing the Interwebs. I just pop in every once in a while to see if a new s#$%storm has erupted....it's sadly been quite disappointing lately.

Seems like everyone around here is either changing jobs or getting jobs. Your making me feel fat and lazy.

Oh, there's been plenty of threads about heartbroken people and a 19 year old who was going to move to South Africa with her Nigerian boyfriend. Good times.

Gotta love those threads. I think I read them just to feel better about my life. :D

Welcome back, si man!

How IS the cat?

She's sitting here looking out the window. It sucks that my marriage rides on the health and welfare of that cat but it is what it is. Kira never lets it outside the house so seeing how she's gone I took the cat to the beach today. It's never seen the ocean before other than outside these windows and it had a blast. It didn't know what to do there was so much free space for it to run. It walked up to the water and when the next wave rolled in it freaked, ran, and hissed with all it's hair standing straight up. It was funny as h*ll. I gave her about 30 min to run around out there and I'l take her back again a few more times before Kira gets back to spoil the fun. What I did notice though was the cat was more into eating grass than anything, and if cats are anything like dogs then they do that to settle their stomach or it's a vitamin deficiency thing. I noticed she's eating more and puking less since I started taking her outside.

It's funny to watch cats in new environments, sometimes. Your wife is trying to keep her cat alive -- indoor-only cats definitely live longer. Probably my bitterest argument with my ex-girlfriend (pre-Mrs.-T-B.) was her insistence that I was "suppressing a cat's nature by keeping it indoors." Well, her 7 indoor/outdoor cats all died years before my indoor-only one did.

Also, be careful that the cat doesn't spy another cat while outside, or you may never see yours again, no man. They will often run off together, to play or fight or copulate, whee man.

What I did notice though was the cat was more into eating grass than anything, and if cats are anything like dogs then they do that to settle their stomach or it's a vitamin deficiency thing. I noticed she's eating more and puking less since I started taking her outside.
The cat is probably puking while outside, see man.

Old dude with a RUB was in a local paper. Fits the stereotype

100 couples reprise nuptials at Villa Montalvo ceremony

And the day -- which cost $50 per person -- reminded many of why they're married. "I love my American husband," said Yuliya Voroninskaya, a Russian who now lives in Portola Valley. She was stylishly dressed in an Oscar de la Renta sarafan-style dress. And what has seven years of marriage taught her husband, Chris Compton? "I've learned to say 'yes' in Russian," he said, "and to be patient."

The cats fixed so I don't have to worry about that, but I never let her out of my sight when she's outside. Too many eagles around here this time of year. I give her about 30min outside three times a day now. It's going to screw her up big time when the wife gets back.

You have an honest face and I trust you, si man.
Too many eagles around here this time of year.
Amigo, I'm deadly serious about this... I wouldn't risk even what you're doing, no man.

We got a new cat on Sunday, miu man. Mrs. T-B. told me today that it followed her & Mini-Bone into the back yard. I went rather apeshat and told her never to let that happen again.

My bitterest argument with my ex-gf (long pre-Mrs. T-B.) was in regard to cats. I insisted that indoor cats live longer and are safer. She insisted that it is a cat's nature to roam and that it's animal cruelty for us to deny them that. Well, her 7 cats all died years ago (some, of horrible deaths) whereas mine (100% indoors) lived years longer (euthanized last month, tumor).

K-Bone, please reconsider letting the cat out at all. If the worst were to happen, YOU would be the next victim, upon Wifey's return, man.

We here are well into our camping program with the new travel trailer, so no time for anything indoors or computer related.

Also, we met another Russian lady during a Russian Christmas party sponsored by the local Mom's Club who has a daughter the same age as Leonid, and she and her mom have been spending much time visiting and assisting in the larger garden operation......so no time even when home.

All is good and have to submit the ROC documents one of these days!!

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
