That is basically my question. Would they be good for 6 months? I mean I'm hoping for an interview much earlier than that, maybe in two months or so, but my friend is going to get all documents and send it with someone who is traveling. I was wondering how long it takes for them to go bad...Thank you.

Thanks. To Iran, with someone traveling....If it's something something you can share, would you tell me what you got RFE for?

You're welcome. Well we got RFE for more documents showing we met in person, we sent so many pictures though when we filed. So, we sent them our passport stamps (of the countries we met each other) and more picture! Let me know if I can help you!

Hard to say. After all, it is up to the discretion of the interviewing official, whether the documentation is "stale." It certainly would be a disappointment if the visa approval was delayed due to old and dated documentation. Is it worth the risk?

Good luck on your visa journey.

YMMV

 Would it be that difficult to have a letter and I-134 form dated closer to the interview? Even if you had to send it overseas, 6 months is dragging it out a bit IMHO.

The letter that I had from my employer was dated May 2011. The letter from my bank was also dated in May. In February of 2012, I included 2 recent paystubs, 2 recent bank statements (from the same account), and my current tax return (along with the past 2). It was not an issue at all.

I never found anything saying that these had to be within a certain date and if you have evidence that these are still valid, I can't see why the letters would be an issue.

The interview was March 14th of this year.

It is not just "income verification letters" that you are submitting--it is a group of income evidence. All of it should support the other.
